Senna did a load of adverts for Shell & Marlboro that are very F1. However maybe Jean Alesi saw this ad that Senna did for the SEGA Megadrive and ‘Super Monaco GP II’
Not exactly the F1 race simulator rigs of today. :)
Or going back before McLaren. Senna when at Lotus with a rather moody F1 ad with Nakajima driving their ‘Camel’ Team Lotus cars.
And Nakajima again, this time walking slowly with Nelson Piquet for an EPSOM advert
“EPSOM – Computerized F1 Racing.” – Of course, what else did we have in 1989?
and Nakajima, with his backing of Honda, repays them with his moody F1 driver in a standard car. The Honda Accord

Alain Prost. Hmmmm, now what can he advertise? How about a very 1980s looking ‘Ski Jacket’? Of course, why didn’t I think of that?
Johnny Herbert & Mika Hakkinen advertising vitamin pills.
Allan McNish & Audi. Now I’m not sure 2min 30secs is really valid for a TV ad. But it’s still an ad and very nicely explains LeMans.
Ferrari-Shell ads. This is the best ad ever in my opinion. (2007)

@Fixy They are great adverts. Especially the Ferrari Shell one. One my favourites. Anyway, how about some other unusual, lesser known ones. It helps if you start your own business after driving in F1 and Nikki Lauda started Lauda Air.

Last one for tonight. Probably the oldest advert so far. A collection in one handy YouTube clip. Sir Stirling Moss, trying his best to convince Australians not to buy a V8. Yeah right!
