@bullfrog I’ll give that. It’s the Dome F105, which was tested in 1996 with a view to racing in the 1997 season. It was about 7 seconds off the pace in a test after the Japanese GP, but development could have overcome much of that. Unfortunately, they couldn’t quite get enough money together, and the rule changes in 1998 meant they would have had to start from scratch, so the project was scrapped.
Incidentally, it was to run with Mugen-Honda engines, and would probably have been Honda’s works team rather than Jordan/BAR later on. It was to be driven by Shinji Nakano and Marco Apicella.
edit: You’re right, there was only one made, which is preserved under Dome’s wind tunnel in Japan (I believe you can go and see it, but I’m not sure). It was basically rebuilt after being heavily damaged by an oil leak and resultant fire at the end of 1996.
