I don’t know if we have much room for another rolling quiz, but I’ve wanted to do this one for some time. So here are the rules: If you guess the car right (Team and Year will do fine, but chassis name would be better ie. Red Bull RB6, Renault R30 etc…) you get to ask for the next car. The question can be in the form of a picture (Small sample of say the rear wing or sidepod) or event (This car won X races in this year, or this car was involved in a controversial crash in Canada…) or the Drivers/Designers of the car (Or a combination of the above. Simple, no?
So, to start, I’ll use a picture: http://formula1.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/race6_tuesday_2.jpg?w=468

1st March 2011, 8:38 at 8:38 am #162244GeeMacParticipantLooks like the R28.
Great thread idea by the way.

1st March 2011, 18:39 at 6:39 pm #162247Polishboy808ParticipantIcthyes?
1st March 2011, 19:55 at 7:55 pm #162248IcthyesParticipantI should have been aware of the perils of doing this before I went to work! Okay, here we go, with a different approach:
This car won half of all the races it entered into and the individual chassis has won more races than any other in F1 history. It also won its first race. Only one driver drove it competitively. What is the car?
1st March 2011, 21:28 at 9:28 pm #162249Polishboy808ParticipantHmmm, does the Ferrari 312 and all its variations count as one or as separate chassis?
1st March 2011, 21:31 at 9:31 pm #162250Dan ThornParticipantI was thinking Brawn BGP001 but Rubens also drove it competitively…
1st March 2011, 22:25 at 10:25 pm #162251IcthyesParticipantThe actual one single chassis, no spares. This point confused me when I first read about this particular claim to fame, as of course the F2002 won more races than it, even just by Schumacher.
2nd March 2011, 12:24 at 12:24 pm #162252AnonymousInactiveSo there wasn’t a second car. Just one raced yes?
2nd March 2011, 12:46 at 12:46 pm #162253jihelleParticipantWolf WR01 ?
2nd March 2011, 15:14 at 3:14 pm #162254Oscar BeckerParticipantFangio’s 1955 Mercedes?
2nd March 2011, 18:04 at 6:04 pm #162255IcthyesParticipantYep, even his team-mate had a different model of car.
No-one has it so far.
2nd March 2011, 18:25 at 6:25 pm #162256jihelleParticipantJim Clark’s Lotus 25 could be a good candidate but it did not win its first GP…
