    You are totally right ob1kenobi.23!

Sorry, @slr – you’ve only got one out of three right.

Kevin Cucamest, thank you for your kind reply.
    Just a little obscure question.
Did a father ever own & run a team, design the cars & had his son as driver.

@ob1kenobi23 – it’s not actually your turn to ask a question. You answered one that was over a month old, but everyone has since moved on. In the interests of keeping the game going in one direction, the current question is this:

    1) Which even was provisionally added to the 1999 calendar, but was removed before the 1999 season?

    2) Which circuit was supposed to host this race?

    3) Which former World Champion endorsed this race during the planning stages?

P.M. many apologies, well out of order.
I/ll have a go at your question.
    1 China
    2 Zhuhai
    2 prost

Only two out of three right, I’m afraid.

PM, I’ll guess its No. 3 thats wrong & try Lauda

Alright, it’s been three days and nobody has gotten it. The correct answer is 1) China, 2) Zhuhai, and 3) Jacques Villeneuve.

In the interests of keeping this thread alive, here’s some new questions. And yes, they’re going to be as difficult as I can possibly conceive. You’re really going to have to research these:

Which non-Australian driver has a street named after him in an Australian capital city?

  • Profile picture of Prisoner Monkeys Prisoner Monkeys said 1 year, 6 months ago:

Alright, that last one was a bit silly. It’s the teacher in me practicing setting exam questions. Let’s do this properly, with a question that is a bit more sensible (and only has one part):

What is Vitaly Petrov’s middle name?

  • Profile picture of Fixy Fixy said 1 year, 4 months ago:

Alexandrovic (I think it’s spelt this way).

    4) Which non-Australian driver has a street named after him in an Australian capital city?

I know this isn’t the current question but @prisoner-monkeys I would say Senna, Schumacher, Rosberg, Berger, Moss, Stefan Johansson, Ivan Capelli, Philippe Streiff and Jacques Laffite. All have streets named after them in the northern Adelaide suburb of Wingfield.

Theyre all non-Australian and they all have streets in a Australian Capital city named after them.. :)

  • Profile picture of Prisoner Monkeys Prisoner Monkeys said 1 year, 4 months ago:

I did not know that. I am totally moving to Adelaide.

And yet, you still failed to get the right answer – it’s Mika Hakkinen.

Alexandrovic (I think it’s spelt this way).

Nope. That’s not his middle name.

“And yet, you still failed to get the right answer – it’s Mika Hakkinen”

But isn’t the ‘right’ answer really open to interpritation? Its like me asking which suburb has a raod called ‘Railway Terrace’ and you naming every single suburb except the one I ment. I would say you are wrong yet the question really should have been more specific. :)

Anyhow, every website I can find lists his middle name as Aleksandrovich however I know that means he is the son of Aleksandro so I have no clue..

So near, and yet, so far.

In the interests of keeping this thread alive, I’ll give the answer now: Vitaly Petrov does not have a middle name. In keeping with Russian naming tradition, he has a patronym, which is taken from his father’s name; “Aleksandrovich” means, as you pointed out “Son of Aleksandr”. Yes, this was a trick question.

Someone else can have a go.

In the years in which the Indy 500 was counted towards the F1 World Championship – who was the only driver to compete in both the Indy 500, and the Grands Prix “proper”?
