    At the end of the penultimate race of a certain closely-fought season, Nelson Piquet carried not one, not two, but three drivers to the pit lane on his car. Kind of like this.

    Who were these 3 drivers, and in which race did this event occur?

    (I don’t really know the rules to this quiz, so I don’t know if I’m offering too few or too many hints here. If they’re not enough I’ll offer more.)

    @pamphlet 1986 Mexican GP. The drivers were René Arnoux, Stefan Johansson, and Phillipe Alliot.

    McLaren are currently in their longest period in recent history without a [answer]. Their previous period without a [answer] lasted one year, and the one before that lasted six and a half years. Only two years before the start of the six and a half year period, they had never had a [answer].

    Is it a Finnish driver? McLaren have gone nearly three years since a Finn last drove for them (Kovalainen in 2009). Their previous period without a Finnish driver lasted one year (2007 after Raikkonen left to join Ferrari). The six and a half year period would roughly be between Adelaide ’86 when Rosberg made his last start and Estoril ’93 when Hakkinen first drove for the team. Two years before the start of the six and a half year period (1985) they had never had a Finnish driver (Rosberg was their first).

    @sigman1998 A Ferrari 248 F1 at Malaysia?

    Ferrari F2006 at Turkey, although Turkey is counter-clockwise.

    @Nicholas-Sunderland But the pit buildings don’t look like the ones at Malaysia so If I’m right, an audacious guess – but the cars are in Parc Ferme conditions (doubt it!).

    Υοu are correct @younger-hamii

    @sigman1998 I’d just like to point out that the 2006 Ferrari was called the 248 F1, not the F2006 (I’m not trying to steal the question, just pointing it out).
