That’s an Amon, driven by Chris Amon and some British guy, and I’ll guess that it’s Cosworth-powered.

In what year did a driver other than the reigning world champion drive car #1? This excludes any years before the “WDC gets car #1″ rule, and any mid-season retirements by the WDC.
I believe it was 1985, when John Watson replaced Niki Lauda for one race.
@paulgilb Sorry, I should clarify. I’m not counting any type of mid-season replacement, whether it was for one race or the rest of the season. I’m referring to an entire season here.
