F1 discussion
Ronnie Peterson in 1974, the year the rule was introduced. Jackie Stewart was the reigning champion who had retired.
@anto Looks like I missed that one. You can have the next question, but first I’d like to see if anyone can get the answer I was looking for. I’ll give my next question to whoever does (but you still get the upcoming one, @anto).
Since nobody is answering, here it is: Jacky Ickx drove the number 1 Ferrari one year after finishing second to Jochen Rindt. The reason is well documented, and I shouldn’t need to elaborate.
Your turn, @anto
How many drivers on the current grid did not make their debut at Melbourne?
Vettel, Schumacher, Rosberg, Grosjean, Hülkenberg, Kobayashi, Ricciardo, Senna, Petrov, and Glock are the ones I can name off the top of my head.
@brazil2007 Got it in one!
@anto Wow, that was really lucky!
Of all the current drivers on the grid, only Pic and Karthikeyan have not done something that every other driver has. What is it?
@brazil2007 Score points?
@ryanwilliams Karthikeyan finished 4th at the 2005 US Grand Prix.
As a hint, the answer is not strictly F1, but it’s closely related to it.
@brazil2007 Yeah, I remembered about Karthikeyan’s points after I posted my answer! No idea what the actual answer could be!
@ryanwilliams You might still get the next question, since if nobody gets it right after 24 hours, then it goes to the first guesser. And you were just barely wrong anyways, since Karthikeyan only got those points from abnormal circumstances (as we all know).
Score a podium? If yes @ryanwilliams can take it.
I realised I am wrong.
Are they the only drivers not to have won a title in any motor racing series?
@paulgilb Very well done :)
