@brazil2007 Congratulations! And now for the next question: Which driver holds the record for the most wins in his home Grand Prix?
Is it Michael Schumacher? He had a lot of home races!
Prost in France, I believe.
It’s not letting me update my previous post, so I’ll just add here that he won 6 races France.
I think I will accept both answers, Prost did have the most home wins if you discount the European GP but counting the European GP it would be Schumacher with 9 so @brazil2007 or @bullfrog can decide on who gets the next question.
@bullfrog I don’t have any questions ready, so you can have it if you want.
What’s special about these three sections of track?
Descida do Lago, at Interlagos Turn One, Indianapolis Texaco-Schikane, Österreichring
@Bullfrog They are all banked
@ryanwilliams Nope
@Bullfrog Just to clarify, what do you mean by “Turn 1″ at Indianapolis? Is it the first turn on the oval, the F1 infield section or the MotoGP infield section?
@ryanwilliams The banked one – first turn on the oval.
The Texaco chicane is preceded by ‘Lauda’ and followed by ‘Rindt’. Descida do lago is preceded by the ‘Senna S’. Turn 4 at Indianapolis is probably named after some American driver.
Does it have to do with this?
@andae23 No.
Descida do lago is preceeded by the ‘Senna S’.
Technically, Descida do Lago actually follows Curva do Sol. Curva do Sol is preceded by Senna.
Did Ralf Schumacher manage to lose it on all 3? He spun on that corner in Brazil in 2000. Smashed the wall at that corner in Indy (if you’re taking the corners 1-4 as the americans do it anti-clockwise). Not sure about Austria though, can’t find anything except a spin on a different corner later in the lap in 1999.
