    Considering Ferrari have completed 850 or so races, I’m going to take a wild guess and say 810.

    @toro-stevo

    If I was a journalist working for a tabloid, I’d single out this part of your last post

    Maldonado is indeed the best ever

    And put the headline, “Stevo: Maldonado is the Best Ever”

    @joey-zyla That is scary! You were very close the answer is 813! You get the next question.

    Wow @joey-zyla!!

  • Profile picture of I've had it I’ve had it said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Okay. :)

    How many different drivers recorded the fastest lap of a race in the 2012 season?

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    @joey-zyla 12: Vettel, Button, Hamilton, Webber, Räikkönen, Grosjean, Rosberg, Schumacher, Pérez, Kobayashi, Hülkenberg, and Senna.

    It’s crazy that Alonso didn’t set any fastest laps, and Hamilton didn’t until Brazil…

    Good! Next question to you. ;)

  • Profile picture of Matthijs Matthijs said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Nicholas, I don’t think that’s crazy. The fastest times will always be recorded at the end of the race (when the car is light). The fastest time will then be set by the driver who is still pushing and has relatively fresh tyres. This driver is not necessarily a frontrunner.

  • Profile picture of Nicholas Sunderland Nicholas Sunderland said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    I can’t think of a question, so somebody else can take it.

    @matthijs But in general, the setter of the fastest lap tends to be a frontrunner. And of all the drivers in the top 6, Alonso was the only one not to set a fastest lap. And Hamilton was really fast a lot of times this season. It’s just a bit odd.

    Following on the previous question: when was the last time a driver became world champion without setting a single fastest lap that season.?

  • Profile picture of Matthijs Matthijs said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    @andae: Keke Rosberg 1982?

  • Profile picture of andae23 andae23 said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    @matthijs Correct! You’re next.
    As a sidenote, it’s his birthday today!

  • Profile picture of Matthijs Matthijs said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    OK, here I go: Name the world champion with the least number of pole positions. And how many did he score?

    Congrats Keke!

  • Profile picture of Toro Stevo Toro Stevo said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    I know Denny Hulme had a single pole position, but there might be one who never got a pole position.
    If by chance I am right, somebody else take the next question as I’m going to be away from the computer.

  • Profile picture of Matthijs Matthijs said 6 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Stevo, you are correct! Just one pole position, and not even in his championship year 1967.
