I dont know whether this has been done, but Who scored the final victory for each of the following tyre brands and which team, where did they win and in what year?
Pirelli – before their return in 2011
Dunlop – Pedro Rodriguez – BRM – 1970 Belgian Grand Prix – Spa
Continental – Stirling Moss – Rob Walker Racing – 1958 Argentine Grand Prix – Buenos Aires
Goodyear – Michael Schumacher – Ferrari – 1998 Italian Grand Prix – Monza
Pirelli – Nelson Piquet – Benetton – 1991 Canadian Grand Prix – Montreal
I checked it and @anto‘s answer is correct
Sorry guys but well done on getting the answer
Don’t worry @mathers. We all sometimes don’t have the time to be online.
When was the last time a team finished a season with two different drivers to the ones they started it with?
@anto I can’t think of any more recent examples, so I’ll just guess Ferrari in 1982.
@brazil2007 It was more recent than that. In fact it happened in the last decade.
Toyota in 2004?
Yes! They started with da Matta and Panis but finished with Trulli and Zonta. You’re next!
What was the last F1 race which no F1 World Champion (past or present) started? Note that I am allowing the possibility of a future World Champion starting the race – the only thing I require is that a commentator could truthfully have stated ‘There are no World Champions starting this race’ at the start of the race.
@paulgilb I remember reading about this a while ago. It was the 1994 Portugese GP, the last race that year in which Mansell did not drive.
That is not the answer I am looking for, I’m afraid! Read the question carefully…
