Prisoner Monkeys, not trying to sound harsh or anything but the track is supposed to be in Europe

Yeah, I was just having some fun with it. It was one of my rejected designs, but my internet dropped out and I had to rush through putting it back up. Guess something got lost in translation.

here is my take on the Dijon Prenois track in France
Problem: Track is a bit short
Solution: Make it run Down the valley a bit more into a tighter hairpin before the long run back up the hill

Here’s Imola. I kept the bits I really like, which is practically the entire second sector.

I’ve done one for Le Mans as well as Clermont Ferrand now. Difficult to decide which to use.

Here is my Le Mans one, since I’ve designed it now. But my previous entry is still the one I’m submitting.

Some strong entries here, and many of the tracks created enhance the old track and keeps the character of them too. My top 3 is as follws:

3rd is Kingshark with Zolder. Zolder is one of my favourite tracks to drive on video games, and whilst I like the tighter first corner and the extended section at the top, I feel you have killed one too many of the chicanes, which are great overtaking spots. No doubting this would be an incredibly quick circuit though!

2nd is James Brickles with Jerez. I like the new section you have added, it would create more overtaking and is nice and compact to create an Arena feel. However I feel the oversized first couple of corners wouldn’t work very well, and the chicane at 4.5km gets a bit close to a major road, so would need reprofiling.

and 1st is rob lomas, with Dijon-Prenois! I like the fact that the original profile of the circuit remains intact, and the new section compliments the old perfectly, whilst making it more viable for Formula 1 and creating a challenging track with a few overtaking spots. The downhill hairpin reminds of the Nurburgring’s Dunlop corner is particularly nice

    I can’t believe I just won that !!

Anyways time for the next round.
Your task is to redesign a tilkedrome because let’s face it, we’re better.
The deffinition of tilkedrome is a track that’s been designed or redesigned by Herman Tilke.
Tracks must be between 3.5KM and 7.5KM.
    Good luck

    Bahrain.
I eased the 2d corner slightly, moved the 4th back a bit, largely to aid overtaking. Then it follows the outer circuit, including the chicane, the second part of which is made less tight so that the chicane is faster, less awkward, but still a challenge. From there the circuit changes a lot, with a decent run into a Nurburgring style corner. The track meanders before the old fast bends, taken in reverse now. One long bend sweeps the cars back round, and they join the old back straight via a very fast kink. This follows through a fast, flat bend before a tight corner (sort of a mirror of the bend that used to be at the end of the back striaght. There is then a very fast final corner onto the main staight.

    Good stuff Rob :)

Here’s my take on India, with some major reconstruction needed. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5805088 (The first crossover goes over)

The first section of the original one was extremely disappointing, so I’ve made turn 2 a little sharper, which should make drivers think about their entry to turn three. Turn 4 is much more open on the exit, then it changes dramatically, going over a bridge and onto the straight between the original last and penultimate corner… backwards.

The next complex is a little bit like an Oschersleben/Top-Gear-Hammerhead mix, but mirrored and a little quicker. The long corner opens out at the exit and rejoins the original circuit backwards. It stays on the original layout until the exit of the ‘south-curve’. It misses out the ‘Felipe Massa’ chicane to try and create an overtaking spot into where the original bus stop chicane used to be. It’s a second gear right hander, then the track dips downhill into a double apex fourth gear left hander. This completes the figure of eight and the circuit as it rejoins the start-finish straight.
