It should be possible to adapt the final sector of the lap. Although it is run over country lanes, there is plenty of space either side for widening it.

My drawing is a bit dodgy tonight, but I think the general idea comes across. Run clockwise, dot start/finish, would need little over a kilometer of purpose built roads and minor adjustments to runways, the carpark and other roads.

I decided to design my track using Farnborough Airport.
    Runs Clockwise
    6.9105km, 45 laps.
A very long straight, lots of overtaking chances. Some very fast corners including the last corner, very fast chicanes between the 4-5km marks, and an Istanbul Turn 8 style multiapex corner.

Alright, changed my mind. Again. I like this one better:

    Pyrestock Wood Raceway

It took me a few tries, but I really like the finished product.

Assume that the roundabouts on Alexandra Road, Sycamore Road and the Queens Road would be straightened out for the purposes of the Farnborough GP.

How long do you guys think I should leave this open for? Another 12 hours, or 24?

Right I’ve decided to change my entry and go with this little layout in the Airport. A bit of construction will be needed to widen the road at the end of the runway.

Pinehurst Street Circuit, as i use the Pinehurst Roundabout 3 times
I really like the Kingsmead Part of it, and the hairpin at the 3km mark will be raced on the side strip, removing 1/4 of the carpark and the thing beside the 3km mark
Also the 3-4km zone will be purpose built.

My favourite was @Prisoner-monkeys entry. It would require a fair amount of deforestation to make some of the roads wide enough, but those wooded sections are still quite a nice setting. The flow of the entire circuit is quite nice, and looks very American somehow (I think something about the shape reminds me of Road America). Runner-up was Kingshark.

Fun fact- Nick’s entry was around the place I first drove a car. And, rather more interestingly, it was a filming location for the F1 film Rush, which is coming out this year. A lot of scenes on pit straights will have been filmed on a large set they built there.

    Yay, my second win!

Okay, your next mission – should you choose to accept it – is to find an oval course and to make an oval-road course hybrid.

Your circuit should be at least four kilometres long, and no more than six kilometers long.

You must use at least two corners of the oval in your design, but you may not use any parts of an existing road course.

    @PrisonerMonkeys
What is the deffinition of 2 turns eg the turn leading onto the back straight at talladega?
I hope this does not offend but I’m just wondering because here in Britain, we actually have a NASCAR style track(Rockingham) yet A. Nobody really uses it for stockcars and
    B. Nobody in Britain really knows much about NASCAR
Please let me know as I already have some rovals to choose from.
    Cheers
