    @matt90 – I’ll accept that as your entry. There’s nothing in the design brief stopping you from reviving old circuits, and nor was there anything that demanded practicality (though common sense does apply). I see no problem with it.

    Tough choice then, but I think I’ll still make Indy my entry.

    my take on pocono

    Since the segment I built my infield around is actually used as a track configuration, I’ve decided to revamp my design as well. Didn’t really like the look of my corners leading back onto the oval anymore either..

    http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5813125

    The track dives off the Oval a little earlier, and underneath the straight leading back to the oval. After some tight bends to slow the pack down, we enter a new high speed segment with a couple of sharper turns to keep drivers on their toes, with another set of sharp corners leading up to the straight back onto the Oval. We take a quick brake through the affectionately dubbed Ralf Schumacher chicane and continue our way to start/finish.

    Alright, since all of the usual suspects have posted a design, I’m going to annouce the winner a little early.

    And the winner is … @kingshark, whose (revised) design for Daytona immediately grabbed my attention.

    @brickles is the runner-up.

    And @matt90, while I did like your Indianapolis design, it is unfortunate that you picked it over the Brooklands design – because I really liked the Brookelands one, and you probably would have won the round with it.

    Awesome! A win at last!

    OK. Here’s the next challenge. Which location is a favorite for tourists? How about Hawaii, Jamaica, and the Bahamas. Choose one of these three locations and build an F1 circuit in it.

    Dam it. I went with Indy partly cos of the crossover.

    No people say you know you can’t believe – Jamaica, we gonna have a Grand Prix!

    I chose Palma de Mallorca has my city. Some beautiful avenues there, and some tight streets as well. Just over 6 km.

    Hawaii. I spotted a famous landmark and utilised the two tunnels that enter it.

    I can’t see a limit on track length. However, if there is I will happily revise my circuit
    Kind Regards
