I just realised that I have already used that Stockholm circuit before. Perhaps not in this competition, but I’d rather just make a new circuit than sift through twenty-eight pages of the thread trying to find it.

So, here is my new entry:

This is a tough one, but I’m going to have to award the winner to @kevincucamest

His circuit has a very nice and flowing design, the geography and surroundings look good, and on top of that, it’s so epic that it is located in the middle of where the three borders of Norway, Sweden and Finland meet! :p

Nevertheless, nice entries and good circuits, all.

    Yes, my first win!

In order for a F1 championship to be a world championship, F1 needs a race in Africa.
Your job is to design a track anywhere in Africa. Here are the rules

    - Your track must be between 3.5 and 7 km.
    - It must have LESS than 25 corners.
    - The main straight must be more than 700m long.

Enjoy it, the deadline for submissions is Saturday at 19:00 GMT.

Seeing as I grew up in South Africa I am biased and think SA should be the host of any GP in Africa. :p I have therefore revised the Prince George Circuit in East London, which hosted the South African GP between 1960 and 1966 (3 of which were championship grands prix which were won by Jim Clark and Graham Hill).

5.956kms, 20 corners (going by the modern trend of calling every single kink a corner), the main straight is 900m long (measured from the start of the rumble kerbing at the start of the straight to the start of the turn in point for turn 1).

The Libyan Grand Prix, near Tripoli. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5825775

Ran clockwise, between 16 and 19 corners, depending on how you count.

South African Grand Prix at the Green Point Circuit:

My main straight is actually that section running along Bay Road (at the 4km marker) – it’s roughly 900m long – and not the part along Beach Road, even though that’s where I started and ended the loop.

A revised version of the Green Point circuit, with mile markers placed appropriately:

I think this may well be the best circuit I have ever designed.

My Durban Street Circuit – http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5826459
    4.7km, 18 Corners
I picked Durban because the streets are very very wide, great for overtaking, I reckon my track has at least 3 decent overtaking opportunities, also looks to be a tough track for the brakes
My main straight is approximately 750m long

Also great accessibility with the huge train station at the 2km mark
