    So, who won, @roblo97?

  • Profile picture of rob lomas rob lomas said 5 months, 3 weeks ago:

@JPedroCQF1 I will not decide the winner but any one can pick there 2 favourite and there 2 least favourite tracks with 6points going to their first pick in both catagories and 4 points to their second. I shall keep tabs of the scores using the most reliable method possible, a pen and some paper and the winner of the best track catagory will pick the next round BUT they can not enter themselves.
    Good luck and happy voting
List will come tomorrow as I am doing this on my phone and the deadline will be set tomorrow aswell

My favourite one is the one @browny designed. Love the middle sector, reminds me of Hermanos Rodriguez, one of my favourite circuits. Plus low downforce (probably) meaning it would be very tricky for the drivers.

Special mention to @npf1 and his ‘old-Hockenheim mock up.’

IOk then. I think the best one is from @kingshark. It has bit of everything. And I also like the one from @geemac. It’s a nice, flowing circuit.

I’m quite fond of @npf1 ‘s Hockenheim throwback.

Should we just make it 1 week to submit entries, will be more fun that way. Furthermore would it be better to allow the previous winner who decided which city to have the tracks designed upon to choose the winner. Just a thought

Awesome I won :D. Now as I’m on holidays without a computer I’m can’t use gmaps pedometer to do the track outline but I will have s computer again tomorrow. Those of you who can’t wait but I think I’ll make the city to stage our track designing contest the city where I’m on holidays now, which I have already designed a few circuits on. The city is Caloundra, in Queensland Australia. Everyone should be able to find it okay. I’ll announce the winner in a week. Good luck

    Here’s mine:

    http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5774573

    Lenght: 5.806 km
    53 Laps
    Start/Finish Line – Dot #1
    Sector 1 – Dot #3
    Sector 2 – Dot #5

I name it, Jack Brabham Street Circuit, in a tribute to the greatest Australian F1 driver of all time.

Thought I’d give this a go.

    Here is mine – http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5774663

Quite a basic track but I like it nonetheless :P

    68 Laps
    Length: 4.4KM
Start/Finish Straight: The dot after dot number four :P
    Sector One: Dot number two
    Sector Two: Dot number three

Going with the Australian theme, I guess I’ll name it the Alan Jones street circuit :)
