I didn’t make the 18 corner call depending on how you define corners. The track itself is 5.0342 km.

It would probably take an old school Monaco style pitlane or some wrecking for the pitbuilding.

Added the pitlane, will require a demolition job on the central reservation but thats a minor job

Alright, I’m going to call this one early because I’m going to be away at some point over the next few days, only I don’t know when I’ll be going or how long I’ll be gone for. So this round isn’t up in the air for a week with noa ctivity, I’m going to award the winner now.

And that winner is (drumroll, please) … @pezlo2013, who takes his first win with a nice, challenging circuit that I thought picked out all of the best corners – and even a few I hadn’t considered – and blended them together nicely with a bespoke section that looks like it would be good to drive.

OK, My Challenge is:
The 70+ Lap Challenge. You are incharge of the design for the 20th race in Europe for the 2013 season.

Rules: The Track must be between 4 and 4.35km to host 70+ Laps
It should have no more than 17 corners
The Pit Straight should be no longer than 900m, and should still be the longest on the circuit.
You cannot make your track in a country that currently hosts a race

It can be a Purpose Built Track or a Street Circuit,

And You have until 9pm Thursday AEDT (10am GMT) to submit your entries

A few entries so far havent quite met the criteria with the fact that although the pit straight must be 900m or less, it should remain the longest straight on the circuit. Kinks count as corners if you want a longer flat-out section

Have made some changes to the circuit to meet this requirement, see post above. It just doesn’t make sense to put the pitlane right there, so that’s why I originally opted to put it on the other straight.

I would not call the change in direction along my front straight a “kink”. It is a definite, sustained change in direction, and although taken at high speed, it is intended to be a corner.
