    Like @ShaneB457 I thought I’d give it a go.

    Originally I created this, but I discovered @Kingshark used the same section after the fact, but I really liked my track :P

    My Track: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5774725

    Name: Southern Cross Circuit (seeing as we’re sticking with Aussie theme)
    Length: 3.7Miles (couldn’t work out how to change the measurements)
    Start/Finish Straight:Arthur St
    Sector 1Start -> Pin 1
    Sector 2Pin 1 -> Pin 2
    Sector 3Pin 2 -> Start/Finish Pin

    Highlights of the track:
    Turn 1 is sharp, but not ridiculous.
    Turn 2 is a sharp 180 hairpin.
    Just after Pin 1 the cars enter a tightening right hander
    Tight Technical section in sector 2 before pin 2
    Sector 3 has some nice tricky corners, with a bit of a flow, but then finishes the lap on a rip tearing, all balls blazing outright speedy straight with a right hander reminiscent of brewery bend of Adelaide GP fame.

    PS I should add, for our younger F1F’s that don’t know, Brewery Bend is where Hakkinen had his scary accident in 1995 where we nearly lost him. Amazing to think he continued on to be WDC after this.

    @tmekt

    The dot after dot number four :P

    LOL. That’s the base dot, or zero dot.
    @dragoll

    Length: 3.7Miles (couldn’t work out how to change the measurements)

    Just multiply by 1.61. ;-)

    Nonetheless, while I don’t accuse Dragoll of plagiarism or anything, his circuit is too similar to mine for my personal liking’s. Hence, I’ve made a new one. :P

    http://gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5774742

    Length: 6.4718 km.
    Laps: 47 rounds.
    Start Finish Line: Base Dot.
    Sector 1: Dot 2.
    Sector 2: Dot 4.

    To summarize. First corner is a high-speed right hander. Then follows a fast S-complex that gradually slows by turn 4. Then another straight with a left and right kink to it. Turn 7 is a fast left-hander, followed by a never-ending turn 8. That’s sector 1.

    Sector 2 is two kinks, one in each direction and a moderate straight between them, then comes a tight chicane. Then there’s a long straight with turn 14 being a minor kink within it, then turn 15 is a heavy stop where overtaking is very possible. Turn 16-17 is another chicane. That marks the end of sector 2.

    Sector 3 is quite simplistic. Three straights connected together by two chicanes. The final corner is long and requires a lot of downforce, to get back on the pit straight and complete one lap!

    Here is mine, not entirely happy with it but I think it has some decent flow to it in places. I wanted to do something that ran down the Esplanade at “Golden Beach” because there is a wicked looking Eau Rouge style kink in it near Oxley Street.

    I think it works. Start finish straight is on the Esplanade, between Oxley and the right hander at McLean Street. The end of the lap between Bowman Road and Park Place looks like a mess with the pedometer line, but I think you guys will get what I was trying to do.

    Like this thread, give me something to do when work is quiet! ;-)

    There’s my track:

    track caloundra

    My original ideia was really similar to @dragoll, so I decided to try another thing. So the start-finish straight is at Nicklin Way, with the first corner turning to Beerburrum St. After that comes kind of a twisty section, which I created to make the circuit more varied. After turning into Kalana Rd. for the second time, driviers turn into Saffron Drive with a twist towards Coriander St. I don’t know why, but I tend to create some long circuits, so this has 6.6944 km.

    Boston GP
    2.0 miles
    Preferably run against the flow of traffic, so the roundabout hairpin would be the first tight corner and the pits are on the opposite side of the dual carridgeway. Goes past Boston Grammar School, Boston United FC and uses the main town roads (So raceday traffic would be even worse than normal!) Get the boats in the Maud Foster and in the Haven, its the Monaco of Lincolnshire!

    @geemac Loved your track with plenty of fast corners and esses. after seeing that, I don’t feel the need to make my own. :)

    @91jb12 The track has to be designed within the limits imposed by the winner of the previous round. Check page three for them. In this case the track has to be in Caloundra, and please pay attention not to design a track equal to other that has been submited.

    Some good tracks already guys, well done. After the entries close on Wednesday morning (are we all happy with a week?) I’ll put up my own design which I have driven many times too make sure the track could work and lets just say what an awesome track it would be.

    4.4 Kilometers
    21 Turns (12 Left, 9 Right)
    Run CCW

    The biggest problem here is that it runs through some rather narrow streets, but other than that, I think it works really well.

    Quite a long track. A few demanding corners in there.
