Some great tracks so far, keep them coming! PM is right, Joburg is a really sprawling place so feel free to go as far as Sandton in the North of the city and as far South as the CBD for your tracks (which most seem to be doing so far).

I’ll post one for fun tomorrow morning and I’ll declare a winner tomorrow evening unless anyone feels we should have a bit more time.

Start at the bullet, into what is supposed to be a tight right hander. Then an 800 metre long straight, followed by an incredibly fast corner to the right. Again a long straight followed by another fast right-hand corner. This leads to a hairpin to the left, ideal for overtaking. This is followed by some lazy corners and again a fast right-hander. (again) A fast corner to the right leads to a straight with first a Masta kink, and then a Variante Ascari-like. A ‘slow’ right turn leads to the home straight again.

Awesome thanks guys, my second win. This time we are going to design circuits anywhere in Australia, the best places to start looming are probably the major cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. I have done tracks for all these cities so it will be interesting to see what amazing street tracks you design for Australia, let’s see if we get a potential replacement for Albert Park.

Tracks must be between 3-8km, and must be reasonably realistic so no 4km straights or tracks through single lane alley ways.

I decided to go a bit off the beaten track with this one. I wanted to do my track in that town that is famous for being near Uluru/Ayres Rock (Alice Springs) which is apparently miles away from it! Surprise surprise the roads weren’t great so I abandoned my attempts. I then decided to have a look in Coober Pedy…because I think the name is awesome. The roads there were pretty awful there too unsurprisingly and I expect that anything I designed there would have as much chance of winning this round as Coober Pedy has of ever hosting a round of the F1 world championship! :p

Finally settled on Darwin…because I remember that Lonely Planet named it as one of its “top 10 places to see in 2012″. The result is 4.2 kms of swoopy awesome-ness.
