Official Gran Premio de Espana Santander

The fifth race of the season takes place on the Circuit de Catalunya. Cornflakes is now 26 points ahead of his nearest rival, meaning he will be in the Drivers’ Championship lead after the race, regardless of the outcome. Of course, he’d love to increase his lead, and can do that by finishing ahead of teammate Nicholas Sunderland and Juan Pablo Heidfeld. Red Bull are also so far ahead of Ferrari that they will still be ahead in Constructors’ Championship after the race. Ferrari will be looking to close that gap. Mercedes, McLaren, and Lotus are all in a close fight for third, and all teams will need both drivers to finish well.

    Laps: 66
    Chance of Rain: 30%

Favorite Tracks: Cornflakes (Red Bull), Darran Grieves, Jr. (Williams)

    Weather Report

    Practice: Dry
    Qualifying: Dry
    Race: Dry

Cornflakes is bound to win this as a Red Bull in dry weather at his favourite track.

This only gives him a slight advantage over Nicholas Sunderland, I’m predicting another Red Bull 1-2, unfortunately. They have reliability problems, although that hasn’t shown yet this year.

Christ, looks like 3rd is the best possible result, hopefully my reliability stat comes into play

@joey-zyla Maybe Cornflakes will retire while leading ahead of me :)

His reliability is 7, so you never know.

Dry quali ^_^ perhaps a return to form then.

I just thought I should make this clear: Your pace is better on your favorite tracks, but reliability remains the same. Most people probably knew this, but I felt the need to clarify.

Nicholas Sunderland sets the fastest lap in the practice session, with BG0 and Gnasher close behind. Lotus has a good session, with Andae23 in 5th and Goose in 6th.

@juan-pablo-heidfeld-1 I’ll go have some lunch, and then I’ll do the Qualifying and Race updates. You can expect Quali results in 30-40 minutes.

Wow! I was hoping for a better result, but 7th in practice is highly unexpected, and with Mads in 8th as well, it looks like the car has good pace this race :D

Really hoping that I don’t have another problem in quali, and maybe, just maybe I can score some more points :)

    @joey-zyla Cheers :D

Hopefully I’ll have found the problem with the Ferrari by then

Very pleased with the upgrades the team brought for the car this weekend. Ahead of the HRTs and with a bit more push we’ll be knocking on Caterhams doors.
