Official Season 1 Preview

Coming in to F1 Forum Game’s inaugural season, the pressure is on the drivers and teams to perform to expectations and beyond, in hopes of capturing the first F1 Forum Game Drivers’ Championship, as well as the F1 Forum Game Constructors’ Championship. The Constructors’ Championship will likely see Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari all in contention until the very end. Mercedes and Lotus could easily be in the mix as well. As far as the Drivers’ Championship? It could be any of the drivers at top three teams. Cornflakes and Nicholas Sunderland are the men that will step behind the wheel of a Red Bull. Don’t count out McLaren drivers Ben and BG0, though, as they could take the trophy away from a Red Bull driver. Ferrari? They have both Championships on their mind, and have shown that by hiring Gnasher and Juan Pablo Heidfeld, both of whom show great consistency and talent. Looking further down the field, Sauber’s BenH could use some heroics to take Sauber to the top of the podium at some point in this season. Meanwhile, backmarkers Caterham, HRT, and Marussia will be looking for their drivers to score a single point. However, Caterham’s Bradley Downton has shown potential and could wind up with more than just a single point. All the teams will be trying their best to provide their drivers with a competitive car, and all the drivers will be trying to squeeze every ounce of performance out of their car. The season begins in Melbourne, and visits some of the world’s toughest tracks, including Monaco’s glamorous street circuit, before coming to its conclusion in Sao Paulo. Of the 24 drivers, only one will be Champion. The season starts TODAY.

Official Qantas Australian Grand Prix Preview

The first race of the season takes place on the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. This race will forever be remembered for being F1 Forum Game’s first ever race. Everyone will attempt to come out as the winner of this important race. The circuit itself is a fast street circuit with several high-speed corners and short straights. The scenery isn’t bad either, and Albert Park Lake is situated in the center. When the lights go out, 24 drivers will race off the grid. How many drivers will still be on the track when the checkered flag waves? That is a question that is yet to be answered. Which driver will win? Which team will leave Melbourne with the lead in the Constructors’ Championship? This race may not make or break a team’s season, but it will give a good idea of what to watch for this season.
