    Round 2 – Japan.

Anyone dare to go first on setup and strategy? It’s daring, I know. :P

Also note that I’ve made another rule: Managers who do not specify their race strategy and car setup before the deadline, will simply be entered with the most basic setup and strategy, randomly chosen by Random.Org.

Why? Because I don’t want to race with less than 19.

@joey-zyla why are you wanting to quit? @kingshark is being very kind in running this for us, and he is doing a great job :) and it would be very funny for someone whose setup was chosen randomly to win :-P

@mathers Kingshark is doing an awful job. Stop trolling me, mate, if you want to play this game go ahead, what does it mean to you if I play or not?

@joey-zyla Calm down. Kingshark is putting time and effort into this game and even if you don’t like the game’s concept lay off Kingshark a bit. Everyone else (including me) is enjoying this game.

  • Profile picture of Mathers Mathers said 5 months, 1 week ago:

@joey-zyla don’t you think you are being a bit nasty? Just because you are not in control of this game like you are the other one, don’t belittle the effort Kingshark is putting in, even if it doesn’t take the direction you want it to. I was not trolling you either, merely asking you a question. Apologies @kingshark for saying this in your thread, keep up the good work :)

@mathers Not being nasty, just telling it like it is. If Kingshark wants to permanently implement that stupid “Managers who do not specify their race strategy and car setup before the deadline, will simply be entered with the most basic setup and strategy, randomly chosen by Random.Org.” rule, then I’m leaving. It’s that simple.

    Setup
    Front Wing: 9
    Rear Wing: 8
    Engine: 6
    Gearbox: 7
    Ride Height: 4

    Strategy:
    Qualify on Options
    Pit LAP 12 for PRIMES
    Pit LAP 32 for PRIMES

@joey-zyla if you play the game properly and make your setups before the deadline it wouldn’t be an issue, and surely that is better than not being allowed to race at all if you forget?

  • Profile picture of I've had it I’ve had it said 5 months, 1 week ago:

@mathers I can’t control if other people forget, having something like randomly generated setups would make the game feel artificial and unrealistic.

  • Profile picture of Mathers Mathers said 5 months, 1 week ago:

@joey-zyla how would this game be any more unrealistic using a couple of random numbers for stats than your game whose whole system of racing is based on random numbers?

  • Profile picture of I've had it I’ve had it said 5 months, 1 week ago:

@mathers Have you ever watched racing? When’s the last time you saw someone draw numbers out of a hat to determine their car setup and strategy? On my game, random numbers are used to simulate the effect that luck has on racing. In real life, luck affects race results, too. But to pick a good strategy has nothing to do with random numbers.

And Vettel pits for options on lap two! This will be his last stop, because the generator said so! He’s also hitting 350 in the speed trap, but struggles around corners.
