    @kingshark is it possible to change your pit-stop strategy after qualifying?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 5 months, 1 week ago:

    @andae23

    11th? I have almost the same set-up as the pole-sitter o_O

    Not quite. You have too much wing, your car is too high off the ground, the engine revs are too low and the gear ratios are too high. This made you half a second slower than him. :P

    Qualifying was incredibly tight though.

    You can change your strategy all you want until 12:00 AM CET Friday. Car setup however, not.

    That’s too bad, because I have a hunch in which direction my set-up should go :P

    Pretty pleased with 7th place, since I tried to set up my car for the race, not the quali. Time will tell whether I have messed up my stragegy…

    Front row I can be happy with. :D

    @kingshark We can change our strategy after qualifying? You should have metioned that earlier! I would have done qualifying options and switched to primes if I had known that!

    Changing your first stint isn’t aloud.

    I did say you can change your strategy all you want up and until 12:00 AM CET though. ;-)

    I’m not sure if we should be aloud to change our strategy after qualifying. I have doubts about this rule now. It does seem more realistic, but unfair towards the people who did not qualifying well.

    I’ll let the rule of democracy go on this one. What do you guys think? Should or should we not be aloud to change strategy after qualifying?

    YES! YES! THIRD! WOO HOO!

    @kingshark Thank you for this fantastic game! :)

    You can’t qualify in options and start with primes, obviously. Besides that I think that if we’re allowed to change strategy it could be more funny/unpredictable and I don’t think that would be unfair.

    Also, I believe that there isn’t anything stating that you must use both compounds. Am I right? Is that intend or is missing?

  • Profile picture of I've had it I’ve had it said 5 months, 1 week ago:

    @kingshark I don’t think we should be allowed to change strategy.

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 5 months, 1 week ago:

    @carlos-santos
    We are using basic Formula One regulations. So yes, it should probably be mandatory to use both compounds.

    On the strategy changing debate. Well, I’d be lying if I said that I’m surprised to see the guy qualifying 3rd have a different opinion than the one in 9th. :P
