If you wish to watch F1 for free in the future DO NOT SIGN UP FOR SKY, by paying to watch you will incorage sky to take it on next year, I myself hate to watch reruns of races, dont feel I can chear on the drivers, the race is over, but I will watch reruns this year in the hope that F1 returnes, fully, to free tv, please support me on this issue or pay through the nose for the rest of your life.
I know someone that knows someone from sky, he has said that they will NOT take on F1 if viewing falls short of there expectations.

I’m not from the UK, but I believe BBC went for the shared deal with Sky because they couldn’t afford the rights to show all the races. So if Sky drop F1 it won’t improve a thing, it’ll only make things worse for everyone, possibly to the point where there’s no free-to-air F1 in the UK at all, or even no F1 at all.

The ideal scenario, BBC showing all the races live for free, is apparently not possible and the current deal is the best possible one.
