F1 season and tracks

I commend F1 for trying to reach all corners of the earth. With India hosting in 2011 and Russian and U.S. coming up; the question now is how do you fit it all into an already busy schedule? Do you extend the season or do you drop tracks? If the later, how do you pick which one’s to drop? I know some of the decisions is based on the host and it’s fees (like Canada), but how do you try to fit the most into a schedule without losing out in other areas?
Things to keep in mind is the weather factor, distance travelled between destination, actual interest in the host city, drivers fatigue, and of course most importantly profit.
I know it has been mentioned by an FIA official that in the future one country can only host one race which means Spain will have to lose one of either Valencia or Catalunya. Also if F1 decides to expand the season instead of contracting, then they need to make the schedule based on location. ie start in one end of the world and move to the next closest country and so on and so forth. But if F1 decides to contract they they would have to get rid of tracks in nearby countries. ie drop one of Malaysia or Singapore, Abu Dhabi or Bahrain etc.
The question here is which tracks would you drop? Also, if you think a track should be mentioned that is not in the current or near future, then post it.

drop bahrain (they have abu dhabi) and hungary (turkey’s close enough) and replace valencia with either zandvoort, estoril or that newish track in the algrve. oh, and replace Barcelona with Aragon

F1 won’t be reaching out to the small European countries any more, call me a pessimist but Spa might not last that long, it’s always been hanging by a thread if the news reports are anything to go by.

Really, really hard to answer.
I’d first enforce the one race per country rule because of the lack of space. I’d drop Valencia though I’m not very fond or either Spanish track. I know it’s a new track but hey it’s not bad to admit it’s boring. I’d use the permanent Valencia race track. And restore the old system of rotating the name Grand Prix of Europe each year. Now we would have place for either the USA or Russia. (It’s always the case isn’t it? :D)
As for the other one I’d drop one of the flops of those events which have been introduced in the 2000s.
I would like to bring back the French GP as well on the Paul Ricard so… It would be even more complicated. :)

super_swede it’s a good list but Rome and Monza are both Italian GP, and it’s stipulated that only one race per country will occur from now on.

Thank you for the extensive info. Unfortunately I prefer the very tracks with are going to ‘expire’ soon and would drop a few from those which are not…

I think you mean to much hate from halfwitted green voters, I travelled some 20 hours and spent alot of money (for a university stundent) to go to my first ever grand prix in 2010 and I’m so angry that people who have never seen are race are so eager to bag out such a brilliant tourist advert and motorsport event just because we might need to cut down two trees and spend a bit of dollars. C’mon I mean we spent more on bloody Oprah to drag her fat arse over here
