Nice idea.. I can see India reserve being Jehan Daruvala however, and maybe Colombia might want Munoz. Malaysia could be Yoong and Jaafar! China as Fong, Ma and Ho Pin-Tung. Other contenders might be Hungary with Baumgartner, Michelisz, Weber and Estonia with Korjus, Aron etc. South Africa with Scheckter and Hyman/Kruger?

There could be a small qualifying group to make the main draw :P

@fastiesty We’ve got much better in Hungary than Baumgartner, put in Tamás Pál Kiss and Norbert Kiss alongside Michelisz

@hunocsi Of course :) I just remembered that Baumgartner has scored points in F1, heh. Pal Kiss was competitive in AutoGP/GP3, while Norbi has won the European trucks championship the last two years (in addition to starting in LFS, vs. GPL for Michelisz! Bottas also used LFS, Weber GPL)

Austria would probably run Auer over Binder, and Monaco Leclerc over Richelmi. Norway possibly Olsen over Varhaug. Russia might have Orudzhev instead of Markelov as reserve. Wales could run Parry and Mardenborough, with Morris as reserve – “GP3 line up, GP3 line up!”

Germany would win, although it would be mighty close with Britain. I think that Vettel’s cooler head on his shoulders (compared to Hamilton) and Rosberg’s superior qualifying speed (compared to Button) would prevail.

    Completely hypothetical, all of course.

Would be very interesting to see who wins. You have an epic battle between England & Germany for the title with Hamilton, Vettel and Rosberg winning races. Don’t forget Alonso who will attempt to carry Spain to the top and the top overtaking skills of Verstappen and Ricciardo. And theres the cool headed Finns of Bottas and Raikkonen too. Would be thrilling if it were real

Belgium – Stoffel Vandoorne and Jerome D’Ambrosio
    Reserve Driver – Maxime Martin

We’d prefer to send our Vanthoor rather than the FE man.

Bertrand Baguette would be a good pick as well. Belgium could well fight for 3rd spot alongside France, Australia, Spian, Finland, Netherlands and Denmark on a good day.

The USA could do so much better than Rossi alongside Hunter-Reay with Speed in reserve, especially based on current IndyCar form. A Newgarden/Rahal pairing with Rossi in reserve would probably be better.

I’m with @hunocsi regarding our Hungarian team.

Team Venezuela is team destruction. I can imagine Cecotto and Maldonado causing chaos everywhere :)

It can only be done with a simulator, there’s no way none of their employers forbid them from doing what KUB did to get himself out of F1.

But it’d be a lot of fun to watch even on a simulator, but something like this is so much fun and makes so little nonsense that it’s never going to happen, and we know it.

    With New Zealand,

I would put Scott Dixon as our #1 driver alongside Brendan Hartley with Mitch Evans as the reserve driver.

Scott simply has more experience than either Mitch or Ritchie and really is the best driver we currently have racing.

Mattias Ekström should replace Ericsson in Sweden’s line-up. Then Ericsson could take Malja’s place.

And personally I would place Takuma Sato as a racing driver for Japan in Nakajima’s place. Nakajima could take reserve driver’s role.
