Turkey 2010 or Turkey 2009? I gather you’re talking about 2010, because I can’t remember Mark saying anything in 2009.
Anyway, how does the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix relate to that remark? The thing I think people forget too readily is that Sebastian Vettel was… well, he wasn’t a very nice person after that collision. At all. It was his fault, which I’m sure everyone knows, but his gesture was very unkind and something that had the same effect you described as happening when Webber made his Silverstone ’10 comments on me. I’d really liked Vettel up until that point, but I think it was pretty embarrassing for F1 that we had someone engaging in NASCAR-style outbursts.
My point is, Mark Webber was a victim in that accident, and Sebastian Vettel basically called him a lunatic in front of a few hundred million people. The fact Mark ever forgave Sebastian for that is, in my opinion, very mature. There was nothing that said he had to do that, and Mark could well have kept it going and turned it into a feud. Sebastian never said (publicly, at least) that he was sorry for causing the crash, nor did he apologise for his gestures, but somehow it didn’t turn into a civil war. I’m not sure if the tabloids would agree with me, but I really love it when drivers get along, so I’m very happy that they sorted it out.
So why were you upset with Mark over Turkey 2010? And how did that relate to his remarks in Silverstone? And you’ve already said that you didn’t like what he said, but I was asking why? To me, it looks like you’re searching for reasons to dislike Mark, so prove me wrong!
