Ferrari ran a modified LaFerrari at Fiorano with added passive cooling to test an anonymous new turbo engine….

29th November 2013, 17:35 at 5:35 pm #246483Magnificent GeoffreyParticipantOh cool, so they got my order then.
29th November 2013, 18:37 at 6:37 pm #246484RoaldParticipantIf Formula 1 cars will sound anything like this next year… amazing sound!
29th November 2013, 18:55 at 6:55 pm #246485Broc SmithParticipantIt sounds like the F1 cars of the eighties, just a little quieter. I think it sounds awesome.
29th November 2013, 19:32 at 7:32 pm #246486Fer no.65Participant@magnificent-geoffrey haha !
Sounds cool !
30th November 2013, 16:31 at 4:31 pm #246487RoaldParticipantBit surprised by the lack of interest here.
30th November 2013, 17:56 at 5:56 pm #246488MeanderParticipantMe too! Thought I had a nice link :(… Haha
30th November 2013, 18:15 at 6:15 pm #246489NickParticipantWonder if Mercedes and Renault do something like this as well.
Were Ferrari running the car on worn Pirelli road tyres, too, I wonder. :p
30th November 2013, 18:17 at 6:17 pm #246490DionParticipant@npf1 Renault should just put the Renault Energy F1-2014 into a Twizy.
What could possibly go wrong?30th November 2013, 18:48 at 6:48 pm #246491Force MaikelParticipanthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXHRR5zAdz0
Thank you Ferrari!! Now lets hope the simulations Mercedes and Renault have presented to us don’t actually sound like vacuum cleaners, I want, no I demand a full grid of this!
30th November 2013, 18:55 at 6:55 pm #246492bananaramaParticipantIt is interesting, but the shape doesn’t really look exactly like a LaFerrari, neither exactly like an Enzo. The back looks more like an MC12. The engine sounds interesting, quite angry, not bad. Maybe Ferrari are trying to actually make use of one of their million dollar developments and build a V6T for one of their road cars.
Or they finally man up and try to do something to win again ;). Mercedes’ ‘driver evaluation’ a week after the season is over sounds interesting, too.30th November 2013, 19:58 at 7:58 pm #246493NathanParticipantAwesome whine! Really, didn’t actually expect that kind of sound. Agree, very 80’s-ish
30th November 2013, 22:42 at 10:42 pm #246494Piotr KoterylParticipantI can’t wait for the start of the next season! I wonder if, @bananarama is onto something with this…either way, I could happily see the eventual successor to the 458 with a beast of an engine like this…
1st December 2013, 8:30 at 8:30 am #246495SeaHorseParticipantDoesn’t sound bad. Guess this would get even better on the F1 car if this is the 2014 spec V6 engine. But wouldn’t the way the engine is packaged into the car also have an effect on its sound?
