I was figuring making a kind of Formula 1 Awards thread like, we could all nominate and then we could vote later, on an online survey. I suggest these categories and nominees:
Best driver: Sebastian Vettel
Best team: Red Bull Racing
Best Grand Prix: Canadian Grand Prix
Best rookie: Kamui Kobayashi
Most horrible crash: Mark Webber – Valencia
Best overtake: Kamui Kobayashi on Vitantonio Liuzzi @ Suzuka hairpin
Impressive achievement award: Nico Hülkenberg for pole @ Interlagos
Best team radio: Sebastian Vettel crying after Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Best qualifying session: Korean Grand Prix

Melbourne was definitely the best Grand Prix of 2010 (as per every year) followed by Spa, then Canada. Best driver; either Vettel or Alonso.

Best overtake: Don’t know. Due to the drama Lewis Hamilton on Jenson Button in Turkey.

Best team radio: Rob Smedley telling Massa that he’s quicker with a broken front wing in Barcelona.
Best qualifying session: Abu Dhabi
Most improved driver: Michael Schumacher
Most improved team: Renault

Best rookie: torn between Hulk and Petrov, but leaning a bit more towards Hulkenberg
Most horrible crash: Red Bulls in Turkey (it depends what you mean by horrible)
Best overtake: Schumacher on Alonso at Monaco
Impressive achievement award: Nico Rosberg for his whole year
Best team radio: Vettel finding out he’s champion
Best qualifying session: Korea

Most horrible crash: Liuzzi hitting Schmui today
Best overtake: Kobayashi on the last lap of Valencia, didn’t see it myself but everyone raves about it
Impressive achievement award: Alonso scoring a Grand Slam in the second fastest car in Singapore
Best team radio: “Avante!!!” Followed by Alonso’s laugh
Best qualifying session: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Best team: Red Bull Racing but I think Mclaren handled their drivers better than anyone.
Most improved team from last year: Renault.
Disappointment after last year: Mercedes or FI
Best new team driver: I’m going to go for Glock although I bet heikki wins this one!
Best team achievement: HRT surviving.
Best Grand Prix: Korean Grand Prix
Best rookie: Nico Hulkenberg
Best surprise: Hulkenber on pole at Brazil.
Biggest human achievement: Massa coming back from injury and outqualifying Fernando at Bahrain. Say what you will about the rest of his season but I never thought I’d see him race again!
Most horrible crash: Mark Webber – Valencia
Best overtake: Petrov on Rosberg at Spa or Massa on the Fi at Canada. Hamilton just breezing by Rosberg at Aus was mega too.
Best defending: Sutil at Silverstone perhaps or Petrov trying to keep Lewis behind at Malaysia
Worst defending: Jaime bashing Kobayashi at the hairpin at Suzuka
Impressive achievement award: Alonso’s second half of the season.
Best team radio: Alonso’s laugh at Korea closely followed by Sebastian Vettel crying after Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Worst team radio: “Fernando is …faster …than… you. Can you confirm you understood this message?”
Best calendar change for 2010: Bringing Canada back but Korea is a lovely track.
Biggest controversy: Hockheinem
Best qualifying session: Abu Dhabi.
Best F1 person: Keith Collatine for excellent coverage.
Best F1fanatic(s): the moderators.

Best team: I almost said Ferrari but Hockenheim will always stand against them. So Mercedes for me, they handled a difficult situation well

Worst defending: Gotta agree with Steph: Jaime bashing Kobayashi at the hairpin at Suzuka
Impressive achievement award: Vettel utterly dominating 3 of the last 4 races (and you could argue that he dominated all four!)
Best team radio: Vettel crying at Abu Dhabi. I almost cried along.
Biggest controversy: German Grand Prix
Best qualifying session: Brazilian Grand Prix
