I’ve just discovered today a new strong light weight material called Graphene. I was wondering if this material could be used to make stronger and lighter race cars in the future?
Does anyone out there know what would the challenges be of using such a material for use in F1?

Marc Priestley wrote something about it a while ago:

Yes, it will definitely make it into F1. But that’s several years down the road. Graphene is still very, very far out from actually being able to make stuff from it.

Graphene will be the material to take us to the stars.

@andae23 You are my friend, one of the geekiest F1 fanatics I’ve ever met, great article, and exactly echos my thoughts on the fact that graphene is definitely something that will make its way into F1… Btw, I call you a geek out of the greatest of admiration, people with knowledge seldom get credit in todays society, but you are definitely a wealth of knowledge.
