I believe that Alonso had 17 poles, and Hamilton 21 poles.

I recorded the stats (except podiums and fastest laps) of 3 past greats after 100 races as well:

    Michael Schumacher
    2 WDC
    2 WCC
    26 Wins
    17 Poles

    Alain Prost
    1 WDC
    2 WCC
    23 Wins
    16 Poles

    Ayrton Senna
    1 WDC
    2 WCC
    23 Wins
    46 Poles

    - Senna and Prost had the same number of wins, as well as driver’s and constructor’s championships
    - Vettel and Schumacher had the same number of wins
    - Senna’s pole rate is astonishing- 46 out of 100 at this stage
    - Schumacher and Alonso had the same number of poles.

Actually not quite @David-A. I’m sure Alonso had 19 poles after 100 starts, I re-checked.

Nonetheless, great stats and some interesting comparisons there!

    Alonso’s 100th race, and 19th win, came at the Italian GP 2007. He took 2 poles in 2003, 1 in 2004, 6 each in 2005 and 2006, and 2 in 2007.

My mistake. Nonetheless, interesting statistics. I have to say, even when comparing 6 men, I would rate, after 100 GP’s, as Vettel being the most successful and Hamilton being the least. When it’s all said and done, I expect no different, ironically.
