I suspect down the line it will have an impact on my purchase of Just For Men.

    1) Do you spend some money on F1 or get along with what is available for free (websites, free-to-air TV coverage)?

TV licence is pretty much just used for F1.

    2) What kind of F1 related items do you usually buy and how often? Race tickets, magazines, books, model cars, teamwear, DVDs,…?

I subscribe to F1 Racing Magazine. I plan to buy tickets to next years British GP. Books I buy the official season review books and any F1 book that catches my eye in Waterstones. Model cars, I bought a few at the British GP this year. DVD’s I get the reviews every year and also a few dvds from a fellow F1Fanatic.

    3) Do you save money by refusing from something just to be able to spend it on F1 related stuff? I mean, do you buy less clothes, avoid eating out or do whatever else just because so there is more left for F1?

In the weeks leading up to the British GP, I did save some money so I could buy food and buy so merchandise. I did this by eating out less and not buying new clothes.

    4) Approximately how big part of your “entertainment budget” is spent on F1? One tenth, one third, one half?

    Erm, if I had a budget I’d know. I don’t know.

    1) I do spend money on F1 – not as much as some, but it does receive revenue from me.

    2) I have a subscription to F1 Racing. Every so often I buy Autosport and Motor Sport. I 1:43 models, caps, T-shirts, keyrings, DVDs – and a lot of books. Annuals are a major factor (especially Formula 1 Yearbooks), but I also scour the bargain bins for good used F1 books on other things (subject to shelf space, which has become an issue). Once I bought race tickets.

    3) I save money for “treats”, but I tend not to save for a specific item or category of items – it’s just a matter of putting the money aside, then thinking when I see something nice “do I have enough in the treat box to cover this?”

    4) Difficult to say – my entertainment budget varies wildly and some of my categories for entertainment overlap. So a F1 book, for example, would fit into “F1″, “books” and “information sources”.

Only money I spend is on travel and tickets… but I’d be taking a holiday somewhere else if I wasn’t going to F1. So in that way it doesn’t really add to my budget.

I buy a TV licence and a Virgin Media package deal (with a V+ box)

    That’s it

In the past I went to X number of F1 races (Can’t recall exactly how many) and Le Mans three times

Not much for me; I rarely watch F1 at home and I usually go to a pub with mates to watch F1. Having said that I do buy several bits of merchandise though…
