i was under the impression there would be an overboost button, ie extra boost = extra hp, but downsides are increased wear/relabilty issues and heat. altho im sure those factors wont be a big problem, or a combo of boost and kers, meaning you can run a smaller battery/kers package.
if kers was to be no operated by the driver this would be stupid. and if it was to be allways on, then there’s no benefit!
how will ters work? heat to electric? hard one to overcome? cant imagine how that can happen but im no engineer/f1 tech but easist way would be overboost
i can say for sure, i cant wait for 2014. turbos have been out the picture for so so long, and have not really featured in other Motorsports as a general option, i do hope the forward usage of turbos pushes forward the development of turbos and how there used outside of Motorsport.
