I thought Hamilton will smash Button.
I thoght Merc would be competitive and Rosburg will score his first win.
I thought Webber would be blown away by Vettel.
I rated Kubica highly but did not think Renault would be that competitive.

Fooling around on F1 Fanatic I thought I would bump this thread with a quote from Keiths article about Senna vs Schumacher:

Controversy about Senna was generally confined to his robust methods of defence, something that Schumacher also got quite a lot of criticism for. I do feel that a lot of what Senna got criticised for seems fairly tame by modern standards � his squeezing of Prost towards the pit wall at Portugal in 1988 elicited shrieks of outrage at the time but today we would probably consider it a straightforward defence.

I know that Barichello – Schumacher in Hungary was closer, but it is still the same move, and I would consider that it gave quite a bit of stir in the pond.

I swore never to watch a F1 race if Sebastian Vettel wins the WDC (I was totally convinced that he never will), but then I changed my mind (after he won, of course)
I thought that Lewis Hamilton won’t do much back in ’07
I thought Kimi Raikkonen will commit suicide after Europe 2005.
I thought Kazuki Nakajima will actually score a point in 2009
I thought Abu Dhabi is a good circuit
I thought Nick Heidfeld would win a race
And I thought (and still think) that Mark Webber will never win a championchip (if I turn out to be wrong, I’ll eat the whole pie)
And I think Fernando Alonso won’t win a WDC with Ferrari

@Lazzar. I did think Abu Dhabi was a good circuit as well. I gotta have a slice of pie for that 1.

7 races into the season I predicted that there would be 6 different drivers who would lead the WDC (Alonso, Massa, Webber, Hamilton, Button and Vettel). A lot of people told me that there was no way Vettel would lead the WDC at any stage.. but after Abu dhabi I just served them all a slice of Humble pie.

At the beginning of the season, I thought Hulkenberg would outscore Barrichello at the end of the year.. I had a slice of pie for that 1 as well.

the moustashioed brummie, met a couple of english lads at zolder in 82 , they told me they were supporting mansell, I was somewhat shocked that anyone could follow him, think I said he was c..p

crikey almighy, how wrong was I , Mansell went on to become one of my fav drivers and is no doubt the d..b…
