F1 discussion
Imagine you’re given the chance to pick any F1 chassis raced or tested since 1950 to own – to sit in, display, admire, drive, whatever – what car would you choose and why?
(3,000th thread, w00t!)
A Lotus 49, simply because it is the single most gorgeous car ever made. I’d probably build a glass box to put it in, then take it to Silverstone and just rag it. Aah…
McLaren MP4-17D from 2003. It’s the best looking “modern” (i.e. post-2000) McLaren car to date, and it was arguably Kimi Raikkonen’s best season- certainly his best at McLaren. I would have said the RB6, but I love the high-pitched whine of the old V10s.
Jordan 198. The reason I’d want it is because, well, just because. That is all.
F2008 or Mp4 20 definately the nicest cars for me :)
A Ferrari f10 or the 1994 Ferrari.
MP4-8 of course. Not the fastest but by god it was the prettiest. or the Maserati 250F.
A Lotus Type 49 (1967 type)
Gorgeous car before sponsorship deals was plastered all over the place. Oh and Mr Clark and Mr Hill drove them.
Ferrari F2004 because it’s the fastest F1 car ever.
MP4-22. No question. Because it was dominantly quick, it was awesome at any and every circuit, and looked fantastic and cool as hell.
The McLaren MP4/4, because of reasons.
Either the MP4/4, the F2004 or the MP4/23
Massa’s F2008. Yes, Massa’s specifically (#2), not Kimi’s (#1).
Hamilton’s MP4/23 is amazing as well.
Simple: Ferrari 312.
Possibly the Mercedes W196 Streamliner.

Or alternatively a sharknose Ferrari, simply because I believe none actually exist, so if I somehow found 1 I could either keep it or sell it and buy whatever I liked.
