Is there anybody out there with enough photoshop talent to create any of the 2009-2011 cars (or MP4-27) with either:
08 spec front and rear wings
current spec 09 front wing, 09 spec rear wing height, 08 spec rear wing width
current spec 09 front wing, 08 spec rear wing
current spec 09 rear wing, 08 spec front wing
Although I say 08 spec front wing, I didn’t like their height and the curvy middle, so if somebody can do an 09 front wing which is the width of an 08 wing that might be better. I know a few pictures of interim 08-09 test cars are around, but the fronts are so basic they look wrong, and the bodies are still 08 spec:

Not wanting to create too much work for anybody, but if anybody else is as curious as me to see how any of them look and possibly which is the best wing combination.

I found this on that very thread on F1technical, and I think it actually looks pretty nifty! Well, it’s not bad considering I generally loathe the tall and skinny rear wings. But that may be simply the front wing balancing it out!

I think the current spec 09 front wing, 09 spec rear wing height, 08 spec rear wing width would look pretty good. I think I’ve got used to with width of the front wing, along with maybe the height of the rear. Looking at the older spec front wings, they look too short!

I disagree! I think the ’08 front wings look more in proportion. I’m as used to the current wing dimensions as I’ll ever be, but it still doesn’t look right. I wish all of the cars could look the same as they did in the early 2000s!

@damonsmedley I’m quite impressed by that Williams with the photoshopped rear wing. I wouldn’t mind if the cars looked like that. It looks *very* tidy indeed. Though I’d still want all the aero bits and bobs to be gone too.

I never had a problem with the 09 front wings on their own, largely because although the 08 wing might be better proportioned (regardless of the rear wing dimensions), I did not like them when they were raised in 05, and although I appreciate the aero in the curvyness they developed, I thought it made them look too ‘pinched’.

@TommyB89 I want to see a rainbow car. I often wonder why teams don’t go for something outrageous. They’d certainly get noticed, and that’s never a bad thing when you’re after sponsorship!

Yeah, I’m pretty used to them now! The Williams looks pretty good in my opinion.

I hate the large Ferrari front wing supports. They’ve had them for a while, but painted red with such a bad AND stubby nose makes the whole thing look worse. The front of the Ferrari to me looks like some strange razor.

Force India is easily the best stepped nose. I don’t mind the Lotus too (although it looks beaky from some angles). Mercedes looks okay from profile, but is the worst of them all from towards the front.
