Jackie Stewart and the art of driving (19 posts)

    @raymondu999 I think he must have meant that after exiting Ascari both Vettel and Alonso took it easy when eventually making the move to the left edge of the track for Parabolica. They stayed on the right a touch more than the shortest way between the exit of Ascari and the entry of Parabolica would have suggested. However, I agree that a) I think only Vettel did so and only slightly, and b) that’s not a fantastically new thing to observe; a lot of drivers even take to the asphalt run-off on the exit of Ascari…

    I also agree that the thing about the opposite lock is pretty much… y’know the eight-letter word.

    All in all, of course, I’d rather trust Jackie in the first place instead of Windsor, but I did read some good bits from Peter as well. Thanks for the warning though. :)

    @atticus-2 oxen faeces? :P

    Apparently according to his race report, Alonso and Vettel were just staying right all along that straight, and only moving left for the braking into Parabolica.

    Here is that race report

    I’m loving that FOM haven’t taken this video down :P
