Just reserved my unit for Silverstone :) I’m having it delivered to my house before as well, and it’s costing £48.48 (the odd price due to exchange rate between Euros and GBP) Think the 50 euro price ends on Friday, so if you are thinking of getting one then get it before then.

In the days of refuelling they were essential as you’d never keep up with all the pit stops without them.

Now if you’re just going for the F1 race you can probably do without.

But if you’re going for three days, and will be following the support races, they’re a must.

cheers for all the advice. I’ll write up a review about it or something once i’m done, perhaps as a guide for the site!

I’m think about hiring one for Silverstone. What kind of coverage do you get for the support races. Is is just timing info, or video and commentary as well?

    Hi All,
I’m just starting to plan my Chinese F1 visit for 2013. Can anyone tell me if the Shanghai circuit transmits Kangaroo TV? I’ve looked at the Kangaroo site but can’t find any information on working F1 sites.

    Thanks

I’ve hired one a couple of times and will do so again in the future. They are great, particularly if you are not right in front of a big screen and cannot decipher the tannoyed commentary….it helps to keep track of everything that’s going on everywhere on the track and in the pits, the minute it happens.
On-line price last year worked out at about £43. You can either pick up and drop off at the circuit or have it posted to your home address and post it back. You can also just turn up on the day at their trade stand and hire one directly, depending on availability.
They are very easy to use, come with a spare battery, mains cable for charging, and a set of adaptors for foreign electricity supplies.
All in all a great device, in my humble opinion :-)
