For some bizarre reason, almost all Russians seem to have this endemic lack of emotion in their voice when they speak English. It’s quite noticeable with Petrov; he doesn’t seem excited or saddned by anything that happens on-track. There is something lost between the languages and nobody can really explain it. Combined with the way most Russians do not readily smile (they believe Westerners are too quick to smile and insincere when they do it), and they come across as quite cold people. But get them speaking their own language, and they’re quite animated.

PM, its probably the slavic languages having quite a different rithm to them that makes it hard to get it to sound good in english. I noticed most Czech people have the same problem when learning English (apart from those that learnt to speak it in a English language environment, during their studies or longer stays), same for most Polish people I heard speaking English.

Oh my, I wonder who they will have doing the talking in the Dutch version (will they do any, given movies are usually only with subtitles there? But the kids version should be, so will they be different?)
On offer: Robert Doornbos, Chris Alberts, Jos Verstappen (most likely, I guess?), or oldies like Jan Lammers? Maybe even give it to Jan Luyendijk or his son. I would like them to put in the latest hot prospect in McLarens young driver program, he is dutch and might appeal to the kids more.

In Italy they left Jeff Corvette, so probably in the other versions he will be there too.
