    I’m also a Tottenham fan (not as much into football as you Britons, but I do watch Premier League and Champions League). So there’s 3 of us here, against 1 Newcastle, 1 Arsenal and 1…let’s say Everton.

    It’s all football to me: Association, Rugby, American, Australian Rules, it’s all football.

    Anyway live blog improvements…I do think the Twitter feeds have had their time, they all come in minutes after what’s already happened, in a big lump as well, not to mention when they post pictures. Perhaps there can be a Twitter-only moderator who edits what stuff from Twitter to be posted (like pitlane info or links to pictures) and then posts a link to them in the blog?

    that twitter-mod sounds good! and i agree.. it does come in a pretty lumpy serving..

    if the blog could be expanded/made bigger, it would be great.. though i’m pretty sure thats not possible.

    also faster response for everyone without auto-post.. even though i’m sure this is down to the number of mod’s, who are doing as much as they can! so it’s not really important.

    other than that, they’re pretty good.. can’t wait til rd1!

    You can view the blog in full screen. Not a lot of people know that.

    Suprised the hell out of me when it first happened. Very usefull for keeping track of conversations for a bit longer.

    TBH, and as someone that mods, I’d suggest as a generall thing to all posters, when someone gets the fastest lap, or a purple sector or something, don’t post it? I like to put in as many things as possible but six Button FLAP’s just clutters the feed.

    Also don’t feel bad if we miss you during crashes or simular, the feed goes crazy (barking mentalist if it’s ALO VET HAM MSC etc) and we can only put in what we read, again, seven mentions thats driver A has crashed are unlikley to make the cut.

    As Hare as already mentioned, I would also love it if the regulars could have auto comments every time they log on.

    I know most times when I log on I am upgraded to auto comments within a few minutes but sometimes there are new modders that don’t really know me and I can’t get auto comments.

    Maybe we could have it so at the start of the season all the regulars are put on a list by Keith and he could give the list to the modders for each session. Then when someone logs on to the blog the modder can check to see if they are on the list and give them auto comments straight away if they are.

    I think this would make life easier for everyone, especially the modders.

    What do others think?

    @Macca

    That is definitely a possibility. We usually have the basically the same set of moderators for the season. However, there are often additions made part way through. There is really not a way for you to become automatically a unmoderated when you login. However, once you make your first comment then it is possible.

    @Icthyes

    Sadly I don’t really think with CIL (CoverItLive) that is possible. What happens is that Keith adds in the Twitter feeds prior to the live blog in the admin panel. There is not a way to control which tweets make it in. The reason why they come in batches and are delayed is because CIL “fetches” the tweets from twitter servers, they are not “pushed” like email might be with Microsoft Exchange. According to CIL the delay is between 5-60 seconds and is due to the Twitter API.

    What I’m saying is instead of adding the twitter feeds, which we have no control over, somebody just sits on twitter and posts links to relevant ones instead of getting 5 lap times we already know about interrupting the conversation.
