R31′s exhaust exit is in the front of the sidepods! it should be different in terms of acoustics. and what about performance ?

Won’t that blow the fumes back into the car, what with the air rushing in and everything? Or is it shielded somehow?

It blows the air down onto the under-tray of the car, adding downforce that way.
