Best driver: Fernando Alonso – Did brilliantly to do well early in the season with a poor car.
Worst driver: Narain Karthikeyan – Has finished last in every race he’s finished.
Best team: Red Bull – Dominating the Constructors, says it all?
Worse team: Marussia – Have managed to fall behind HRT.
Most improved driver: Sergio Perez – Is there anyone else?
Least improved driver: Kamui Kobayashi – Now that Perez has improved, he seems to have lost something.
Most improved team: Sauber – By a mile. They have wasted a very fast car on so many occasions.
Least improved team: Marussia – Have gone backwards, behind HRT.
Best rookie: Jean-Éric Vergne – He’s beating Ricciardo in the points tally, and that’s what counts at the end of the day. (I don’t count Grosjean as a rookie)
Best race: Malaysian Grand Prix – Had it all for me.
Worse race: British Grand Prix – Just nothing happened, if it hadn’t been for Grosjean, there’d have been very few overtakes.
Best performance: Pastor Maldonado in Spain – I don’t like him, but he drove brilliantly to fend off Alonso.
Best season moment: 7 Winners from 7 Races
Best overtaking move: Grosjean on Hamilton in Valencia – Simply because, no-one ever really pulls them sort of moves on Lewis.
Disappointment of the year: Perez’s mistake in Malaysia.
Flop of the year: McLaren – from top to middle.

Season rating: 9 – Racing has been brilliant.
Championship rating: 7 – It was good, until Alonso eeked out a 20 point lead. This rating is taken at the moment.

Constructors champion? Red Bull – By a mile. But Lotus or Ferrari could give them a run for their money if they get their act together.
Drivers champion? Fernando Alonso – I think it will be tight between him and a lot of other drivers, but Alonso has the experience, and I don’t want Webber to win.

Best driver: Alonso due to his consistency
Worst driver: Maldonardo – really don’t like his driving style.
Best team: Lotus for me
Worse team: HRT
Most improved driver: Sergio Perez has really impressed me this year
Least improved driver: Jenson Button?
Most improved team: Sauber
Least improved team: HRT
Best rookie: Jean-Eric Vergne
Best race: European was great, just to see Vettel come to a halt!
Worse race: Monaco – it really does get a bit boring doesn’t it?!?
Best performance: Mark Webber in European GP – from 19th to 4th! Great drive
Best season moment: As above… Vettel’s car failure!
Best overtaking move: Agree with bradley13 – Grosjean’s move was great and against Hamilton it was even better.
Disappointment of the year: Jenson Button, just hasn’t been at the races (pardon the pun)
Flop of the year: Massa (might be ion the way back after the British GP, lets hope so)

Season rating: 9/10
Championship rating: 7/10

Championship rating: 8/10 – Should be more contenders listed in the form of Button, Raikkonen & perhaps Rosberg

Best driver: Dare I say it? It’s still Vettel. He’d be leading the championship were it not for the alternator failure and Karthikeyan’s shunt. Alonso is pulling a 2007/2010 on us, and as people want Vettel to lose, it’s clearly showing. And before anyone says anything, I’ve supported Alonso since 2007 when he screwed McLaren over.
Worst driver: Bruno Senna.
Best team: Ferrari. They pulled a 2010 in less than a quarter of the time, and have been on par with the Red Bull for almost an eternity.
Worst team: HRT. They’re not exactly going anywhere any time soon. They should be thankful that they have Pedro.
Most improved driver: Toss-up between Felipe Massa (post-Monaco) and Pastor Maldonado.
Least improved driver: Toss-up between Kamui Kobayashi and Jenson Button.
Most improved team: Ferrari, for the reasons stated above.
Least improved team: Toss-up between McLaren (for starting off so well and then dropping off the map) and Red Bull (the RB8 was not the best car at any point in the season).
Best rookie: Romain Grosjean.
Best race: Valencia.
Worst race: Monabore.
Best performance: Maldonado in Spain. That Williams is not a top car by any stretch of the imagination, and yet he won with it.
Best season moment: Schumacher being promoted to third thanks to Maldonado and Hamilton.
Best overtaking move: None actually stand out. Hamilton’s on Alonso at Silverstone was extremely surprising, but the rest just didn’t cut it.
Disappointment of the year: Jenson Button by a country mile.
Flop of the year: McLaren.

Season rating: 6/10. Barring a couple of exceptions this year’s races have generally been worse than last year’s.
Championship rating: 8/10. The top 3 are starting to pull away.

Constructors champion? Red Bull.
Drivers champion? Difficult to call. Vettel and Alonso clearly have it in them, but with half a season to go it’s difficult to say if we’re going to have a repeat of 2010 (Vettel’s car failing on him, leading to Webber and Alonso challenging him).

I clearly remember it was Di Resta… but I cannot remember the circuit. He overtook a Sauber and Toro Rosso/Williams together on once corner.

Best driver: Fernando Alonso- in terms of his persona, I see him as a sort of villain, yet he continues to do amazing things in the Ferrari with his solid consistency and stellar speed.

Worst Driver: Bruno Senna- Senna’s a nice chap and I initially supported him, being an Ayrton fan and all, but he’s been very disappointing in a race-winning, front-row-starting car. His failure to break into Q3 highlights his mediocrity, and now he’s just a seat-warmer for Valtteri Bottas. At least Karthikeyan can outqualify a Marussia.

Best Team: Red Bull- While lacking their 2011 dominance, the Milton Keynes squad has two incredible drivers, both delivering wins and podiums throughout the year. While Ferrari have made progress it’s ultimately Red Bull’s line-up and their ability to still win (compared to McLaren) which makes them the best team.

Worst team: STR- an inexperienced line-up with a car which fights the backmarkers and not the midfielders have earned the former Minardi team the unwanted distinction of worst team.

Most improved driver: Mark Webber- after being bested by Vettel last year, he’s been on par with his acclaimed teammate and has had some impressive drives.

Least improved driver: Karthikeyan, still a cucumber.

Most improved team: Williams, as they have gone from backmarkers to race winners. Although I wish the lineup was Barrichello-Bottas.

Least improved team: Marussia: still point-less and still fighting the HRTs.

Best performance: Maldonado’s win. He was surprisingly mature and it was definitely a mighty drive, defending from the home favourite. Too bad he threw it all away at Monaco.

Best season moment: Alonso’s emotional Valencia victory lap.

Best Rookie: Grosjean by far. And if you don’t consider Grosjean a rookie, then Vergne by default.

Best Race: Valencia

Worst Race: Monaco

Best Overtake: Grosjean on Hamilton in Valencia

Biggest disappointment of the year: Jenson “Benjamin” Button (for going backwards), Kobayashi (embarassing pit crew disaster, very accident-prone in Valencia).

Flop of the year: Senna and the dunce who awarded him with the Lorenzo Bandini Award.

Season rating: 8.5/10- memorable races and plenty of unpredictability.

Championship rating: 7/10- not really thinking about the championship now. It’s a good fight but a shame McLaren is slipping and Hamilton can’t participate.

Constructor’s champion: Red Bull

Driver’s Champion: I’m a Vettel fan but it would be great for the sport if Webber won. But one can never discount Alonso for the championship…

And Alonso would be leading the championship by a mile if the Ferrari weren’t a dog in the first four races, and if his strategy wasn’t screwed up in Canada where he should’ve won. I can’t really see what Vettel has done this season. Apart from Bahrain and Europe, he’s been very average for a world champion.

I clearly remember it was Di Resta… but I cannot remember the circuit. He overtook a Sauber and Toro Rosso/Williams together on once corner.

That was in Bahrain. Di Resta overtook Perez and Maldonado in one move into Turn 4.

Worst driver: As much as I like him and want him to do well, im going to have to say Senna.

Best team: Ferrari as they have been really fast in the pitstops and have
developed the car amazingly well.

Worse team: Mclaren – because of not developing their car and their pitstops.

Most improved driver: Webber :) Much better than 2011..

Least improved driver: Button

Most improved team: Definately Williams from the shambles of a car they had in 2011…

Least improved team: Torro Rosso

Best rookie: None of them have stood out in my opinion ( not counting Grosjean as a rookie)

Best race: Valencia

Worse race: Bahrain

Best performance: Maldonado in Spain

Best season moment: Valencia – The drama of Vettels retirement and the HAM – MAL incident at the end..

Best overtaking move: Maldonado overtook someone in Valencia on the outside of turn 18.. not sure who it was.

Disappointment of the year: Button

Flop of the year: Senna unfortunately..

Season rating: 9

Championship rating: 9

Constructors champion? Either Ferrari or Red Bull.

Drivers champion? Webber, Alonso or Vettel.. hopefully Webber :)

People severely underestimated the power of the Ferrari back then. In Malaysia, even without the rain Alonso would’ve been in the top 6, he dropped to P9 in China via his own mistake, and Vettel would’ve won in Canada had all 3 top runners gone for the same strategy even though he lost ground after the first stint. Australia was the only race where Ferrari wasn’t in the top half.

Vettel, on the other hand, lost a P4 and a win at the very least, not to mention that he was held up by Massa at Silverstone (who, in turn, had been held up by Schumacher even earlier) when both Webber and Alonso had clear air. And I’m not even counting Monaco, where, as nobody pushed, there was no way to tell who should’ve finished where.

Best driver: Fernando Alonso – Easy question.
Worst driver: Karthikeyan – Still looks like a mobile chicane out there, no matter how hard he tries to keep out of the way.
Best team: Red Bull – Haven’t put a foot wrong this season.
Worst team: Marussia – Glock is getting increasingly frustrated and Pic hasn’t set the world alight.
Most improved driver: Sergio Perez – Has calmed down since last season and is outperforming his teammate.
Least improved driver: Jenson Button – Something has gone wrong since the first race and he’s struggling to adapt to his problems.
Most improved team: In terms of car performance, Lotus.
Least improved team: In terms of errors made this season, McLaren.
Best rookie: There’s only two ‘proper’ rookies on the grid, so by default, it would have to be Jean Eric Vergne, but he’s not exactly been brilliant.
Best race: Believe it or not, Valencia.
Worst race: At the moment, Monaco.
Best performance: Grosjean’s drive in Canada. On 20-or-so laps older tyres than Hamilton and catching him towards the end.
Best season moment: Williams winning their first race since 2004.
Best overtaking move: Raikkonen’s move on Maldonado in Valencia, very plucky and clever move round the outside of the double left hander.
Disappointment of the year: Pastor Maldonado’s generally stupid attitude this season.
Flop of the year: The Williams driver line-up – A genuinely good car being destroyed by it’s driver line-up.

Season rating: 9
Championship rating: 9

Constructors champion? – Red Bull
Drivers champion? – Realistically, Alonso. Hopefully either Webber or Raikkonen (He’s still in it in my view.)

Can you prove that? Because once the track dried up Mclaren, Red Bull, Sauber, Mercedes, Lotus and Williams were all faster than Ferrari. Maybe there’s just a small chance Alonso might be a bit better than everyone else, otherwise that certainly doesn’t explain why Massa was driving around 16th in the exact same car. Even I know Felipe isn’t that bad.

That mistake didn’t really cost him anything as he passed Perez (the only driver who took advantage) later on anyway.

No he wouldn’t. Do you have any reasoning to back that up? He was loosing ground to both Alonso and Hamilton and couldn’t keep up with the pace. Not to mention that Fernando had a fresh set of options available for his final stint, had he gone on the same strategy as Lewis.

Actually, that should be P5 as he was very lucky to be ahead of Webber in Sepang, who had a slow stop for Inters when driving ahead of Vettel.

Maybe he wouldn’t have to breath Massa’s exhaust if he qualified and/or started better?

So Monaco doesn’t even count anymore? I might as well say Bahrain doesn’t count since the race shouldn’t have happened to begin with. About Vettel in Monaco; He had a piss poor qualifying and was lucky that Grosjean spun out in the first turn taking Schumi with him; not to mention that he cut the first corner.

Best driver: For me, in terms of driving, it’s a close call between Vettel and Alonso
Worst driver: Felipe Massa – he’s underperforming the car by miles
Best team: Close one, between Red Bull and Ferrari. Operationally both teams have been absolutely perfect. Red Bull have called better strategies though, but Ferrari has been relentless with car developments.
Worse team: In my view, McLaren, Mercedes or Lotus. Mercedes has again proved that even under the leadership of Ross Brawn that they seem incapable of much, while the other two have squandered their cars that makes how 2010 Red Bull performed look good.
Most improved driver: Lewis Hamilton
Least improved driver: Kobayashi or Felipe Massa
Most improved team: Car-wise, I’d say Lotus. Team-wise, I’d say Ferrari.
Least improved team: Mercedes
Best rookie: Grosjean
Best race: Canada, for the variety on strategy.
Worse race: European GP, for those blasted alternators. To see any driver – especially 2 – lose practically surefire victories for the same cause in the same GP is really a MASSIVE shame.
Best performance: Vettel in Valencia. In a season so close, pulling a second a lap, even on the Lotus after Grosjean overtook Hamilton – is amazing.
Best season moment: Schumacher back on the podium.
Best overtaking move: For me – Kimi Raikkonen around the outside of Hamilton at T18 Valencia.
Disappointment of the year: Kimi Raikkonen
Flop of the year: Massa

Constructors champion? Red Bull, or if they can get their act together, Lotus
Drivers champion? Vettel, without a shadow of a doubt.
