We have many traditional tracks with some great and memorable names that we all know and love.

But what about the newer tracks, with only or mostly corners with numbers??

Suggest a suitable and memorable new name for a corner at your favourite track.

I’ll start with:

Melbourne.
Turn 11/12, the high speed chicane
Brabham 1 and Brabham 2, after sir Jack, ofcourse

My favourite corner already has a name, it’s called the Spoon Curve. Maybe the hairpin prior to Spoon could be called the “Kobayashi Hairpin”.

Some fairly average ones to get started:

Abu Dhabi
T2,3,4
Faux Rouge
(Yeah, It’s been used before but what the hey)

Canada
T10
Kubica’s Hairpin
T12
The Villeneuve

Valencia
T12
Webber Chicane

China T1,2,3
The Snail

(These aren’t my favourite corners, because mine are already named)

Rename “Subida Dos Boxes” to “Glock Curve” or “Hamilton Bend”

can’t really think of anything else.

Abu Dhabi Turn 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 -> “Set Square corner”

Turkey Turn 8 – Diabolica (used by US T.V commentators)
Canada Turn 10 – RK Hairpin

Istanbul’s Turn 8 – “The Haymaker”. A haymaker is a wild, swinging punch that can easily knock out an opponent. The problem is that it throws the attacker themselves compeltely off balance, and leaves them open and very exposed to a counter-attack if they get it wrong.

Ha! PM if we’re going to turn to wrestling moves for corner names then there’s so many badass candidates for Turn 8. Like the Stone Cold Stunner or the Tombstone Piledriver.
