This thread has got a lot longer in the past day, and everybody’s still none the wiser.

Pescara sounds like a good shout, as the longest tracks in their original configuration.

    Österreichring

Tracks were all shortened due too safety concerns but appeared on the F1 calander

Cant wait to see the answer

Guys/girls, I’m not very good at F1 history, but isn’t this somehow related to the proportions of the bit of track cropped vs. the one that remains? With the Nordschleife being the longest bit to be omitted compared to the remaining bit of the three, the fourth track being the one where an even more overwhelming part was cut away? Just an idea…

Hot dog, we have a wiener!

And first in with the correct answer was @KBAutomotive

The correct answer was Pescara because these are the four longest F1 tracks to have held a round of the world championship. More info and track maps via the links below:

    Monza (10.0km, 1955-1961)
    Spa-Francorchamps (14.120km, 1950-1956)
    Nurburgring (22.835km, 1967-1976)
    Pescara (25.579km, 1957)

OK, over to @KBAutomotive for a new question…

Now we know the answer it seems obvious! How could we have all missed that! :D (Although I hadn’t heard of Pescara before, fascinating)

Sorry guys, only just looked back on here. Not sure I’ve got a good question, so if anyone else wants to have a go, feel free. I don’t want to hold you all back :-)

I’ve got one, if nobody objects.

    Peterson, Stewart, Regazzoni, ?

  • Profile picture of Joey-Poey Joey-Poey said 1 year, 5 months ago:

Is this a complete the sequence or what’s the connection?

  • Profile picture of Prisoner Monkeys Prisoner Monkeys said 1 year, 5 months ago:

I’m going to say the fourth person in the sequence is Carlos Pace, Carlos Reutemann or Jean-Pierre Beltoise. Peterson, Stewart and Regazzoni all scored points in the 1973 Austrian Grand Prix. So too did Pace, Reutemann and Beltoise. But while Peterson was first and Stewart was second, Regazzoni only finished sixth, so I doubt Pace, Reutemann or Beltoise is the fourth person.

Patrick Depailler, or Emmerson Fittipaldi, drivers to have one their last GP using a Cosworth engine? Although Im sure there are plenty more than Depailler and Fittipaldi so that one doesn’t make much sense but….

Edit: Just realized that one doesn’t go in order either…. oh well lol

  • Profile picture of Estesark Estesark said 1 year, 5 months ago:

@joey-poey, it’s a “complete the sequence” question. I thought it was clear, but I should have specified.

    No correct answers so far.
