    @Estesark That’s a tricky one. I was thinking of world championship runners-up of the seventies but it’s not that…

    Jo Siffert ?

  • Profile picture of Estesark Estesark said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    @keithcollantine, I was expecting you to get it! Perhaps it’ll come to you.

    @master-firelee, nope, sorry!

    Is it the number of pole positions by driver in the 1973 season? Ronnie Peterson got 9, Jackie Stewart 3, Reggazoni, Denny Hulme and Emerson Fittipaldi all got 1, Reggazoni’s was in the first round then Hulme in the 3rd round so i’ll say Denny Hulme is next

    @jobymcanuff, that’s a great connection you’ve found there. I’m astonished, because it’s not the one I was thinking of! I’ll give it another day or so, and if no-one has it, I’ll reveal the answer and you can set the next one.

    Here’s a clue: the sequence can be found, in full, in an article published on F1 Fanatic this month :)

    @Estesark Is it James Hunt then i think this is to do with the books or were they dvds anyhow ?

  • Profile picture of Estesark Estesark said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    @master-firelee, yes, that’s right! Ronnie Peterson, Jackie Stewart, Clay Regazzoni and James Hunt are the four people whose “Grand Prix Heroes” DVDs are pictured, left to right, in F1 Fanatic’s 2011 gift guide – http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2011/12/07/complete-f1-fanatic-gifts-guide-2011/

    The picture in question has even been on the front page of this website ever since I asked the question!

    Well done, your turn :)

    Yay ! Here it goes What’s the connection ?

    1961 Dutch GP
    2005 Italian GP
    2005 United States GP
    2011 European GP

    Is it that in each of those races, the top six drivers came from only three teams?

  • Profile picture of Master firelee Master firelee said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    @Estesark nope sorry ! they all share some sort of record between them .

  • Profile picture of Joey-Poey Joey-Poey said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    Is it the record for most classified finishers?

  • Profile picture of Estesark Estesark said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    I was thinking that that couldn’t possibly be right, Joey-Poey, as the 2005 US Grand Prix had only six finishers (due to the Michelin tyre incident), but you could be on to something.

    Was it that in all four of those races, every driver who started the race also finished it? The 1961 Dutch Grand Prix had two non-starters, and the aforementioned 2005 US Grand Prix had 14, but every driver that began those races was classified at the end of it.

    Not the most classified finishers, but races where 100% of cars starting finished?

  • Profile picture of ayrtonsenna01 ayrtonsenna01 said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    Damn, didn’t read his post properly! haha!

  • Profile picture of Master firelee Master firelee said 1 year, 5 months ago:

    @Joey-Poey you were verry close.

    @Estesark well done your correct your turn.

    @ayrtonsenna01 your correct but Estesark gave the same answer first so is his turn.

    edit: sorry about repost accedentily deleted it.
