GT1 really was fantastic this year, great that they had the coverage on their website too.
However if you listen to the recent news (mainly in autosport) far from two new cars joining, several teams including Maytech Ford and both Corvette teams are looking unlikely to make it back next year.

    Hope they pull through….

I would like some other motorsport to follow. What do people recommend?

    Here’s a few: Why you should watch…

I’d Definately recommend the FIA GT1 World CHampionship. Saw the Silverstone round in person, and watched the final in Argentina on Bloomberg (Thanks Keith for the heads up… who’d have thought, but they have a lot of motorsport on that channel)

And you definately can’t beat a bit of BTCC (and all the support rounds… guess ITV does still just about serve a purpose) on a non-F1 Sunday.

I’ve also wanted to watch the Japanese Super GT, but it’s incredibly hard to follow… Aside from Youtube clips, I can’t find decent race highlights or a stream anywhere.

i’m 3 quarters of the way through writing a “why you should watch – V8Supercars” article.. i ain’t no shakespeare though, so i don’t really know how it’ll turn out.

But when not following F1 i’m following V8′s, MotoGP (Moto2 is actually epic!), WRC, NASCAR, and a lot of Local Motorsport (FFords, Utes, etc)

When i was like 6-7 years old i started to watch Monster Jam and i really liked it but i havent watched it for a while, they show it pretty rarely on swedish television but if someone like offroad racing and live in the USA they show it very often on speed-channel (up to 6 times a day)

As much as I enjoy the BBC coverage, I wouldn’t mind catching GP2 races. What channel are they on…if any?

The GT1 season starts in Abu Dhabi on March 27th, although I think all 2010′s races (and qualifyings and prectises… Come on F1, be a dear and do the same… are available to watch at http://www.GT1world.com

The rest of the season stops off at Zolder, Portimão, Sachsenring, Silverstone (June 5th), Navarra, Paul Ricard, Ordos (China), Curitiba (Brazil), and the Potrero de los Funes Circuit.

GP2 was on Eurosport last year, aswell as GP2 Asia and GP3. It was almost always repeated, so it wasnt live. Good racing though.

After going to the Belgium GP in 2009, I really got into GP2. Watched it all last season on Eurosport (Sergio Perez is awesome). It is always worth keeping an eye on the Eurosport lineup as they do show quite a few different formulaes.

What does everyone think about the rumours that A1GP could return in some form? I always enjoyed A1GP, there aren’t many series where you have the same mixture of up-and-coming talents in the formative stages of their career, à la Hulkenberg, racing against former F1 drivers à la Karthikeyan, Liuzzi, Verstappen to name but a few. The racing was usually very entertaining.

I would dearly love it if the current F1 drivers competed at the top levels of other formulae, say for example if Hamilton was a Spurs fan he would drive for Tottenham Hotspur in Super League Formula. I know Kubca does a few rallies but not in the proper WRC.

On the subject of WRC, the coverage has now moved to ESPN. ESPN will have more coverage of the series, with 30 min roundup of the days action during a rally weekend and features and news throughout the week. ESPN Classic will also show classic rallies.

Also, talking about this A10 World Series, Im just wondering what type of series it will be. Sounds as though its an A1GP replacement, but who knows? It seems that its going to a mystery until 10:30 tomorrow.
