Parking tickets on f1.com

I will be driving to silverstone coming July and I am confused about the parking tickets on f1.com. Are these park and ride tickets or something else? Also, do I have to buy parking tickets in advance or will I get parking during the course of 3 days?
I have a general admission ticket and since I bought them late, they cost me a lot so trying to save where possible. I stay an hour away from silverstone.
