Ricciardo’s back-to-back at T5 was amazing.. firstly he took Senna, then Kobayshi! all in the space of 2 laps!
Pass of the race for me, just because he did it twice!

@damonsmedley They were side by side as they entered the braking phase IIRC. There was no Turkey/Spa 2011 type “sail past” move in Vettel vs Rosberg

Alonso on Perez and Alonso on Webber were both awesome

Webber on someone around the outside of some quick “S”

Alonso on Webber was absolutely fantastic, when Webber goes to the inside he switches to the outside and keeps his foot in. Awesome.

There were a few good ones, like Senna and Ricciardo around the outside at turn 5, but I don’t think any of these belongs on the list of overtakes of the year.

yeah, I’m with @necrodethmortem , many good ones, but not POTY quality.

If I had to pick one, it’s Alonso around the outside of Webber at T1.

@raymondu999 Vettel’s pass in Melbourne was good. This one was just another DRS pass, really. I certainly wouldn’t even put it in my top 10 overtakes from the Malaysia Grand Prix. He used DRS to get past which was smart as he didn’t have to risk anything — but it certainly wasn’t impressive from a spectator’s point of view. I’ve capped internet at the moment, so I can’t go all Trulli on you, but if I recall correctly, Rosberg yielded the position before they went into the corner. It wasn’t like Alonso and Button’s passes.

He’s a good driver, but he doesn’t have to be the hero of every race. :-)

Raikkonen’s pass of Rosberg for 5th on lap 24. You could see him setting it up on the last turn and then just tapping the DRS to make it to the 1st turn ahead of him. Perfect pass!

@damonsmedley: You mean Buttons pass on a driver and car combo, which is slower than the Marussia’s? (Sorry, but I couldn’t help it;-)

We saw plenty of those in Mayasia.
    Alonso vs Webber
    Raikkonen vs Rosberg
Both of these moves were more impressive as they were side by side through the corner, while Vettel was already a car-length ahead of Rosberg. Of course, I know it’s just an opinion, but I see absolutely nothing special about that move.

@Palle I know Massa’s been awful in the first two races, but it breaks my heart to see how much criticism he gets for something that is not even his fault. He was one of the best drivers in the sport and a freak accident ruined that in a fraction of a second. I’m not saying you’re being accusatory or anything, but when I see comments like “Massa is useless, get him out of F1″ I don’t disagree with their proposition, but calling someone useless after what has happened to him is very harsh, in my opinion. He’s in the position he’s currently in not because he’s useless; he just got very unlucky. If he doesn’t improve, I’d like to see someone else in his seat next season, but admitting that really hurts me.

    Sorry for the off-topic rant!

@palle @damonsmedley Massa’s Ferrari was 20 km/h slower on the straight than Petrov’s Caterham. There’s more to it than we think.

    Just saying.

I would hate to be Massa’s race engineer. Massa is a very nice guy, but he hasn’t recovered mentally after his accident. He found out that he is mortal, and that thought is doing no good for lap times. I can’t remember a race since his accident, where I thought: Wow, Massa is back! Ferrari has kept Massa, while fired some technical staff because the car wasn’t good enough or the strategy had a wrong call, it doesn’t add up to me – the logic is missing.
