Pass of the Year: 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix19th November 2013, 9:46 at 9:46 am #245465Little_M_LoParticipantWebber on Hamilton around the outside at T12. Shows how confident he was with his car compared to Hamilton

19th November 2013, 10:51 at 10:51 am #245467RetiredParticipantGrosjean overtaking Webber on the outside of Turn 1 at the start.
It made his race, which was a champ material one.19th November 2013, 11:30 at 11:30 am #245468AtticusParticipantRicciardo against… di Resta into and out of T1. The technique is basically the same as in the case of the Kimi/Hulk move in 2012, and Ricciardo had a similarly hard time making it stick. Most of the similar passes were easily completed by the time they reached T2. This was not AFAIR.
Alonso on the Hulk on the last lap was done by T2 as well, but because of the sheer lack of grip on the Ferrari and consequently the need from Alonso to dare to the very very limit of adhesion – which he did absolutely perfectly – to still finish the pass was magnificient. I think he was closest to the limit of anyone anytime in the race in the whole S1 of the last lap.
So I’d choose from this two.

19th November 2013, 13:48 at 1:48 pm #245471JamieFranklinF1ParticipantAbsolutely no question that it has to be Bottas on Gutierrez. The bravery and commitment from that move, especially being only half a car length alongside was incredible and had me on the edge of my seat. Simply fantastic.
19th November 2013, 15:12 at 3:12 pm #245472timtooParticipantAlonso’s overtake on Hulk at the very end of the race showed what the wide corner profile is meant to achieve – and its great to see that it works and offers some variation. However I would vote for Grosjean overtake of Webber at the start – it was vital to do it and I think what @JayfreeseKnight said above was spot on. It was a class move, and carried out with the perfect mix of professionalism and assertiveness.
19th November 2013, 18:18 at 6:18 pm #245473Sensord4notbeingafanboiParticipantMax Chilton on no one.
19th November 2013, 18:20 at 6:20 pm #245474Sensord4notbeingafanboiParticipantGrosjean move can’t be awarded overtake of the GP because the move was aided by Seb, had Grosjean taken Seb I would vote for him.
19th November 2013, 18:32 at 6:32 pm #245475tmektParticipantBottas on Gutierrez. Without a single doubt.
19th November 2013, 18:45 at 6:45 pm #245476GirtsParticipantI agree, Bottas on Gutierrez was one of the best passes of the season:
