UK and Japan are brilliant! :D

My fave overall was Abu Dhabi – I love how the hotel is part of the flag!

I’m a little unsure about the Monaco one, I’ll see what it looks like in its purest form before deciding if it’s poster-worthy. If not there’s a chance Canada could squeeze in :)

@pjtierney If I haven’t already said so before, that Japan one is ace.

Thanks Keith, it’s one of my favourites too as it’s so different to the others :)

I made a last-minute call to switch Monaco for Italy, as otherwise it’d look almost the same as Singapore, plus I had enough red in the set already.

I’ll shoot the printers an email tomorrow and get some test prints done :)

As I said earlier this week in a round-up, @pjtierney, while it is a bit sad to see you having to strip all the race data bits, this way the main artwork of the posters is even more stunningly and fully exposed.

Like many, I love the Japanese one, but all of them have their unique bits that make them great in their separate ways. The Italy one really shows what Monza is all about, love the dynamic look of the car from the back with the flag coming off the rear wing.

    These are absolutely fantastic.

Thanks for the kind words. I was surprised at how well some of these looked (Italy especially) when they were “released” from their artboxes. I guess the added space lets the colours play a bigger role overall, without the distractions of all the graphic elements.

I kinda wish I had done them like this in the first place, now that I look at them :D

The above image is a fictional fan-poster I found for GP legends, and F1 computer game. I’m thinking of doing something like this to celebrate the Austin/New Jersey races, a modern version.

What do you guys think? :)

There’s a lot of potential for that to be an absolutely great poster @pjtierney, please have a shot at it!
And I think you are right about what you say, especially about the Italian one, with respect to “releasing” them from the other graphic elements.

Project’s in the (new look) portfolio: http://pjtierney.net/#2323544/Formula-1-Print-Series

And here’s a peek at the test prints.

Just sent off an order and will have 5 of each design ready for sale some time next week :)
