Probes on front chassis on the Williams

Hahaha I read the title to mean that there was a probe into it’s legality! Whoops!
Given it’s in a factory setting and not painted etc., I wonder if its ultrasound or similar to test the integrity/thickness of the carbon fibre?
I know that welds get x-rayed to test the integrity of the weld so perhaps this is something similar?
